Most Hmong children can receive elementary schooling in their village, but grades seven through twelve are not offered. They must attend school many miles away from their village, living in public school dorms or Christian dorms.
Technical school is generally free to the Hmong student, but they must live near the school which is far from their village.
Hmong parents struggle just to provide food for their families. Most Hmong children are unable to attend school beyond the elementary grades offered in their village.
