Most villages have elementary schools. Grades seven through high school are not provided. Further schooling may be received by living in public and Christian dorms many miles away.
HIM works with several dorms that are operated by Christian individuals or organizations. Dorms provide an opportunity for children first grade through high school and beyond, to live in a Christian environment and receive a good education. Many students continue to Tech schools and college.
In Christian dorms, children are loved, encouraged to reach their potential, and taught about Jesus. Nearly all the children become Christians. Many reach their own families for Christ.
Most families cannot pay for their children to live in a Christian dorm. HIM is asking Churches, S. S. Classes, and individuals to help sponsor a dorm.
HIM makes on sight inspections of the dorms two or three times a year. Each dorm submitts and is held accountable to an annual budget. Monthly reports are received on the progress of the children and dorm. Pictures of the activities of the children are received by E-mail.
The cost of operating a dorm is $25 a month per child. Donations for the operation of a dorm should be made in $25 increments.
