**BREAKING NEWS** NSW WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP VACANT - 01-11-08

The official notice was brought to NSW management's attention earlier this week and unfortunately, NSW World Champion Hayden 'Hippy' Avery has had to relinquish the championship belt. This will mark the first time the championship belt has been vacant since
January 2006 when then champion Asylum had to surrender it due to obligations to another promotion. NSW management wishes Hayden the best of luck as his career continues to flourish. That being said, so much is set to happen at the beginning of this year here at NSW that its just too much to stack into the planned 'IN IT TO WIN IT' dual-show at the end of the month. Commissioner Elias has already begun scouting and will continue to do so throughout the month to establish what will become of the World Championship. In a shocking revelation, he was quoted as saying " I'm sick and tired of the shit always hitting the fan around NSW and this title situation just put the icing on the cake. You know what, we will crown a new champion very soon. Just like a few years back at Hell in Hamilton, we're going to have ourselves a championship tournament in February ".  So you heard it there folks, and that's why he created another NSW scheduled event to be held in the month of Valentine's Day, the title tournament will be held at NSW: LUST because 'in this business, there is only one true love' and that's championship gold.

JINGLE BRAWL ROCKED!!! - 12-16-07

Lot's went down last night in the worst snowstorm Ontario has seen in 50 years. First up, Steve Brown proved he was still on the top of his game defeating rival Nick Watts. ROH's Claudio Castagnoli got more than he bargained for in Ethan Page and while Page did give him one hell of a contest, Claudio came out the victor. Recognizing Page's potential, Claudio raised his hand high thanking him for a solid match. Another special guest in SHIMMER's Sara Del Rey got quite the battle facing off against Deanna Conda, Sabrina Kyle and Jules for the new NSW Women's Champion Contendership. Ultimate it would be Del Rey's co-bad girl Jules preventing her from getting the win as the two engaged in a vicious brawl through several chairs leaving Sabrina Kyle to get the win over the much stronger Conda. While they started as friends, Conda realized what was at stake and showed a bit more of a darker side not seen since her early NSW days with Stephen Elias. The Gym Rats showed off their new goods...not the tag straps..but their new valet Jazmine in a three way dance against The Sound Brothers and a new team of Homeless Bob and James Wine.  Scotty O'Shea would end up pulling double duty as he accepted Michael Elgin's challenge for the spot to face ROH champion Nigel McGuinness next month. Initially, long time rivals Elgin and The Prodigy Rees Reynolds squared off. Unfortunately Rees endured a severe leg injury moments into the match and was taken to hospital. Always a consumate professional, Elgin wished him the best and the NSW fans gave their best wishes to the fallen wrestler with a thunderous applause.
WE AT NSW, MANAGEMENT AND ROSTER, WISH
THE PRODIGY REES REYNOLDS
THE VERY BEST IN HIS RECOVERY AND HOPE TO SEE HIM BACK IN ACTION IN 2008.

NEW SCHOOL HOMECOMING FOR THE HOLIDAYS - 11-29-07
Well its been over one year since NSW has put on a show for the many Mississauga wrestling fanatics and they are pleased to be giving them a boost for this Holiday season. JINGLE BRAWL ROCK was an exciting event started last year by NSW and that is why, admidst the four year anniversary of NSW, they are hosting a 2007 edition. It's no secret now that ROH star Nigel McGuinness is coming to NSW in the New Year and both Michael Elgin and The Prodigy want their shot to face him one on one. Prodigy holds a record having defeated Jay Lethal, so a win over Nigel would suit his resume just fine - however Elgin holds a win over Jimmy Rave and thus puts him on the same level. To use the old adage, its a match where one man must win and neither man can afford to lose. Ethan Page is at it again trying to overcome the growing obstacle that is Eddie Osbourne. In October, these two finally met one on one but any fan knew this war was only just beginning, now 'The Motion Picture' is making sure this is the final act. NSW is also jump starting their new division - The Women's Division - by hosting a Femme Fatale Four Way where the winner will get first shot to win the new Women's Championship in 2008. The most talked about match for this card: The Texas Bullrope Match! For a few months now, Steve Brown has had his heart set on reclaiming his coveted championship from Nick Watts. Watts has cheated his way around NSW to keep that gold around his waist. This time there's no where to run as Brown is going to take the Brass Knuckles Bitch to the New School - and he'll do it right in the Metroplis of Mississauga!

AN NSW FRIGHTFEST - 10-22-07
Yesterday in Hamilton, NSW returned for it's seasonally themed show Hardcore: Halloween. The night started out with Timothy Dalton, in his first match back since June, taking out his fellow cruiserweight EZE. The current tag team champions The Gym Rats had a bit of trouble against their newly turned face opponents The Sugar Twins, but came out victorious. Sebastian Suave continued to boost his ego scoring a win over Rip Impact. However these two would meet again later. Nick Watts decided not to come out and put his Brass Knuckles championship on the line against Steve Brown, citing that Brown was not yet in his league. Regardless, Brass Knuckles rules say the belt must be defended on each show. Will Commissioner Elias suspend Mr. Watts just had Timothy Dalton was earlier this year? Speaking of Dalton, in a hard fought contest, current World Champion Hayden Avery retained his title in a battle against Logan Savage. Dalton interfered and tried to turn the odds in Savage's favour, but Savage opted to win the title without any cheating help. He walked away from the match following the ref's decision to call it a No Contest. In the highlight of the night, it was announced that current ROH champion Nigel McGuinness would be coming to NSW in January. The Prodigy Rees Reynolds, Rip Impact, Joshua Alexander, Sebastian Suave, Mike Rollins and the returning 'Unreal' Michael Elgin all fought in a six way elimination scramble to see who would get 'a consideration' to face Nigel in January. Much to the fans delight, Michael Elgin proved once again that no injury will keep him down. Despite the win, his long time rival Prodigy refused to take no for an answer and has challenged Elgin once more to a one on one match in the future. Where will NSW go from here - no one really knows.

CIVIL WAR BREAKS LOOSE!!! - 09-29-07

Last night at NSW: Civil War, the fans were treated to several shocking moments. First up, Josh Taylor and his manager Kyle Davenport put their careers on the line if The Dynasty failed to defeat Josh Alexander, Rip Impact and Sebastian Suave. Alexander got the pin on Taylor to not only become the new Cruiserweight Champion but also send Taylor and Davenport packing. St. Stephen Elias returned with new secretary Jules to announce that he was the new Commissioner of NSW. Ethan Page conquered EZE who was sent by Eddie Osbourne. Brandon Rage made his in-ring return to NSW but failed in an attempt to win the Brass Knuckles championship from Nick Watts. Timothy Dalton made a shocking return taking out Darkstone allowing for Logan Savage to get a win over the magician. In an amazing history making ladder match, The Gym Rats took back their tag titles from The Flatliners. Lastly, in a grueling and bloody chain match, Hayden Avery successfully retained the World Title against The Prodigy Rees Reynolds.

WHO WILL BE NEXT? - 08-09-07

On August 19th at Underworld Unleashed we will be crowning a new Brass Knuckles Champion, who will it be? It could be anyone because the NSW higher ups have  let it be known that the title will be put up in a open (to anyone) Battle Royal. So don't you dare miss it live at Unit 13 in Hamilton, Ontario.

TIMOTHY DALTON SUSPENDED!!! NEW BRASS KNUCKLES CHAMPION TO BE CROWNED - 08-01-07

Two days ago, NSW management had no other choice but to indefinitely suspend Timothy Dalton and his manageress Pandora Cain due to unprofessionalism and refusal to defend his championship as stated in the rules and regulations set forth by NSW policy. Therefore, at NSW: Underworld Unleashed, a gauntlet will be held featuring several NSW competitors with the winner being granted the title of new Brass Knuckles Champion.

THE UNDERWORLD OF NSW IS ABOUT TO BE UNLEASHED  - 07-26-07

New School Wrestling is shaping up for it's end of Summer kick-off on August 19th. Jake O'Reilly who overcame his odds in June's Strong Style Tournament, was granted an opportunity by NSW management to face newly crowned World Champion Hayden Avery. They are set to square off one on one. Hayden, the fan favourite, is well aware of Ontario's Top Team member's capabilities and is considering this match probably his most difficult since his inception into NSW back in May. While O'Reilly won the tournament and was granted a shot, three other stars of NSW are going to battle it out hoping to win back that one chance to become NSW's top player. Josh Alexander and The Prodigy, some days they are friends, some days they are enemies and Sunday August 19th one would think they  are enemies but they might just work together to ensure 'Dangerboy' Derek Wylde doesn't best them to the World Championship. On night two of the Strong Style Tournament, Kyle Davenport brought back Josh Taylor to make good on his promise to Sebastian Suave that he would find the next suitable Cruiserweight champion. Although Suave was victorious in  a four way, he was beaten down by Taylor afterwards. The sickening image of Taylor standing over a fallen Suave with the championship belt in held is one many fans don't wish to see again but it may just be the case come the end of August 19th. Finding themselves at a bore, current tag team champions The Flatliners have demanded that NSW management leave their opponents space un-filled - and thus have put out an open contract to any tag team to challenge them for the gold. One exception to their rule - The Gym Rats are not allowed to participate. This has not settled too well with Alex York and Scotty O'Shea who say they will be at NSW's next event and even though they are band from the open contract, they will reclaim their shot at the tag team championships.

CONGRATULATIONS TO STEVE BROWN - 07-03-07

Last night in Hamilton General Hospital at 8:04 pm, Ashley Varaljai gave birth to a baby girl. Steve Brown, with his new father role, is delighted and here at NSW, we wish him and Ashley safe health and happiness with their new family member.
