| The Story So Far... With the rebirth of NSW kicking off the official season one, Timothy Dalton was assigned as Commissioner of NSW, with The Prodigy being handed the Cruiserweight title because Lionel Knight could not defend it. A tournament was held soon after to decide the new NSW World Champion following a win by Asylum. With Asylum gone, Dalton rigged the lottery so he would enter three times. With victories over Adam Reed and James Gracey, Dalton crowned himself new World Champion. Kris Law was trying to make a name for himself but bitter 'Showtime' Brett Scholl continued to beat on him. Justin-Sane found himself the target of manager Kyle Davenport eventually leading to a match where Justin took out Davenport. Davenport later sided with HHV and Danny Magnum. Michael Elgin and Mike Stevens came to NSW to lay waste to the growing faction of The Leaders of the New Skool. They succeeded at first defeating a Trifecta Generation Now (Alex York, Corey Mason and Sean Cassidy) for the tag belts before succumbing to the devious Leaders. Stevens decided to screw over Elgin. Prodigy managed to retain his title over Rob Garcia and Scotty O'Shea, leading him straight into a feud with Matt Bison. Having acquired Davenport, Prodigy's hold on the title was even stronger. Elias and Deanna Conda protested the Leaders actions, ultimately finding themself on the losing end with Elias being taken out by Savage and Deanna getting into scraps with Mercy and Pandora. Reed decided that enough was enough and turned on the Leaders, but found his decision a downfall when Brown and Jay Fenix took him out. NSW put Julian Logan as the new General Manager. With the Leaders growing stronger, it seemed that no adversary was able to topple them. With the Fall season kicking in, it appeared that nothing could stop the Leaders of the New Skool. NSW's only hope was the return of Michael Elgin who, with his allegiance of good guys, opposed the Leaders. Prodigy felt that the Cruiserweight championship was becoming tiresome as he scored a victory of Elgin and TNA superstar Jay Lethal. The Gym Rats (Alex York and Scotty O'Shea) engraved their names into NSW history by holding their own against Brown and Fenix, ultimately leading them to the Tag Titles. Logan fired Davenport to show the Leaders how powerful he was becoming. Dalton finally was taken out by Elgin in a grueling one hour iron match. Elgin promised that NSW would never again fall under Dalton's reign. In possibly the most shocking moment of NSW history, Elias turned on Deanna. Emotionally and physically terrorizing her for several months after. Josh Taylor and Ash re-appeared in NSW as Bad Boys Inc., quickly establishing themselves as tag team contenders after taking out Glitz and Glamour. Backstage claws began to scratch as the popular valet Jules was attacked by Pandora. The anniversary of NSW ruptured the foundation, as Logan willingly gave up his GM position to face Prodigy one on one. He lost, giving Dalton once again full control over NSW. Reed and Stevens, both disgruntled by the hype of Elgin and the power of the Leaders, thought it best to fight out their differences. Snap Dragon wrestled his last match as well that evening. Elgin stayed true to his promise, defeating Jay Fenix. With the Christmas bells ringing, so were the bouts as Dalton became obsessed with eliminating Matt Bison. With Davenport back, Prodigy once again propelled forward going toe-to-toe with Elgin. Despite cheatings efforts, Jules proved she was the #1 valet in NSW, taking out Pandora. The Gym Rats were able to hold onto their titles despite stronger opposition including Jake O'Reilly & Crazy Steve and Bad Boys Inc. The new year found Julian Logan mysteriously attacked backstage and suffered a head injury. He was rescued by Kris Law. Together they decided to be Brothers By Choice - a pair dedicated to the music industry. Sebastian Suave shocked the NSW world in March when he was able to overcome The Prodigy to win the Cruiserweight title. Elias teamed with Darkstone to become Flash Magic, however Deanna returned with SexXxy Eddy to help even the odds. With the help of Prodigy, Fenix toppled Elgin for the title, but moments later, Dalton allowed Prodigy a title shot. Prodigy took out Fenix and became new World champion. Brown and Savage engaged in several matches. Davenport resigned as Prodigy's manager having taken him as high as he could go. Sean Cassidy lost to Alex York in his final wrestling match. NSW began to change with the destruction of the Leaders. Deanna defeated Elias to end his wrestling career. With Elgin out, Fenix sided with newcomer Hayden Avery to oppose Prodigy and his seeming allegiance with Eddie Osbourne. NSW moved into the next season with The Strong Style Tournament, featuring some top Ontario names, with Jay Fenix turned Josh Alexander and Eddie Osbourne entering themselves into the tournament. Alexander was injured following a bout with Danny Magnum. Osbourne went on to the Semi-Finals before losing to Asylum and Andrew Davis. Jake O'Reilly returned to NSW and shocked everyone by winning the Strong Style Tournament in what is considered the greatest wrestling match in NSW history against Andrew Davis. SexXxy Eddy also returned, once again squaring off against Timothy Dalton but Dalton ensured he did not lose the Brass Knuckles Championship. Sebastian Suave barely managed to hold onto his Cruiserweight title when Davenport made good on his promise to bring a new contender to NSW in Josh Taylor. Ethan Page and Prophet also put up a fighting effort to take home the same gold. The Prodigy wanted to settle the score once and for all with Hayden Avery, but, following a brutal Falls Count Anywhere match-up, it was Hayden who left the building the World Champion to lead the new season NSW. The Prodigy earned back another shot at the World Championship following a win over Josh Alexander and Derek Wylde. Josh Taylor faced Sebastian one on one and came out victorious with help from his manager Kyle Davenport. Following, Davenport announced that Josh as well as The Sugar Twins were now 'The Davenport Dynasty'. Nick Watts defeated several other entrants in a Gauntlet Royale for the vacated Brass Knuckles championship following Timothy Dalton's suspension. The Gym Rats decided to turn their backs on their fans and due whatever is necessary to get their names back into the Tag Title picture. Sporting a new attitude, the Rats defeated Rip Impact and RJ City to earn a shot against The Flatliners. The following month, Taylor and Davenport's NSW careers were gone following Taylor's loss to Josh Alexander; this also saw an early decimation to The Dynasty. In a grueling ladder match, The Gym Rats fought valiantly and struck down the much stronger Flatliners to regain the gold. St. Stephen Elias returned as new Commissioner, alongside his new secretary and bodyguard Jules - an act deliberately done to anger Deanna Conda. Dalton made his return by taking out Darkstone. Ethan Page continued his quest against Eddie Osbourne by besting EZE, while Lionel Knight made his NSW return in the corner of Nick Watts. A face from NSW past came back in Brandon Rage. The Prodigy tried one last time to take home the World Championship but Hayden managed to defeat him in a bloody chain match which put an end to the Prodigy's chances. Ethan Page barely managed to defeat his nemesis Eddie Osbourne during a No Dq match. The Gym Rats conquered the Sugar Twins to retain their tag team championships. Despite the assistance of Timothy Dalton, Logan Savage refused to win the championship from Hayden Avery by cheating. Dalton got his clock cleaned by Avery and Savage walked away while the ref called the match a no contest. Also, it was announced that ROH Champion Nigel McGuinness would be coming to NSW in January. The Prodigy, Mike Rollins, Joshua Alexander, Rip Impact, Sebastian Suave and a returning 'Unreal' Michael Elgin fought long and hard, eliminating each other one after the next ultimately with Elgin coming out on top. He is now in consideration to face Nigel. |
