Things to do in the
12th Grade to
get ready for college:
In the fall:
Meet with your counselor to review your academic record, to ensure that you are on track to meet graduation requirements & college entrance requirements.
Take the SAT on last time if needed.
Begin filling out collge applications.
In early September ask people to write letters of recommendations for you.
Continue to save for college.
Talk with your counselor about scholarship opportunities.
Attend college fairs & financial aid workshops.
Visit college campuses that are a good fit for you if you haven't already.
Narrow your choices down  to 3 to 5 schools.
Set up an appointment with the financial aid officer at your school of chioce
Complete college applications.
Complete the FAFSA as close to January 1st as possible.

In the spring:
Apply for loans, if needed.
Send in your letter of acceptance!
Pay a nonrefundable deposit for freshman tuition, if required.
After deciding on a school, let other schools know of your decision.
Ask your counselor to send your final transcript to the college where you will be attending.
Take AP Exams if necessary.
