Week# 9
There was no lecture as mid term was scheduled on this day.

Week# 10

This week, lecture was given on Survey Methods starting with the kinds of Research Designs. Various designs like Non-experimental, quasi-experimental and pure experimental designs were studied with detailed examples. Also several methods of designing an experiment through a strategy were discussed like Content Based Strategy, Statistics Based Strategy, External Criterion Based Strategy and pros and cons were discussed.
Then followed a discussion on the Kinds of Scales used in designing an experiment. This included Numerical Scales, Semantic Differential Scales, Graphic Rating Scales, Standards Scales, Behaviorally Anchored Scales, Forced Choice Scales. Then ZS highlighted the important of several kinds of rating errors that lead to the discovery of the independent variable in problem definition. Several errors were discussed including Constant Errors, Halo Effect, Contrast Error, Proximity Error, Ambiguity Error and the criticality of presence of Anchors in any experiment.

Week# 11
Feedback was given on the assignment and Dr. Zubair Shaikh explained in detail, the components of writing a research proposal. Example was taken of "IT Capacity Development in Pakistan" and a joint-session was conducted where students tried to identified what should go in each section of the proposal.

Students in a group of three were asked to write a Research Proposal on "IT Capacity Development in Pakistan"

Week# 12
This week we tried to study the importance of variables and their relationships in any Research process. In research experiment, we try to identify variables and relationships among them (+ve / -ve /curvilinear).
We also discuss writing about questionnaire, as writing questionnaire requires considerations to produce effective results.
