Week# 5
In this class, Ghullam Ali (PhD Fellow) given us a lecture "how
to critique the research paper".
Following are the topics we discussed in the class.
1. Critical Reading and Critical Thinking
2. Four Levels of Critical Thinking
3. Critique
4. How to formulate/write research problem and what are the components
of research problems.
5. How to design the research problem.
6. What are the tools and techniques are used to make the sample
and procedures of data collection, analysis and result.
7. Discussion of findings
8. Critiquing a research paper
in the end of class we had an assignment of critiquing a research
paper by our own choice.
Week# 6
This week we presented our selected paper and critcized on it.this
presentation was group assignment,In my group we were two member,
me Faisal Ahmed Siddiqui & Abid Munif. research paper we selected
to criticize was the "Empirical Evaluation Of Defect Projection
Models for Widely deployed production software systems"
along with out presentation we also fill out the sheet given by
Ghulam Ali to criticize the selected paper.
Week# 7
Round 2 of presentations continued.
Week# 8
Class was cancelled due to National Holiday on account of Eid.
