Jardaloo murghi ( chicken 'n apricot)

Ingredients

Apricot (jardaloo)-150g
Chicken-500g
Ginger-garlic paste-30 g (2 tbsp)
Tomato puree-3tsp
Onion-100g (chopped)
Redchillie pd-1tbsp
Garam masala pd-1tsp
Vinegar-1tsp
Oil or butter
Salt to taste

Method

1. Deseed apricots & boil in water for 10 min.
2. Marinate chicken in 20 g (11\2 tbsp) of ginger-garlic paste & salt.
3. Heat oil. Add chopped onions & fry. Add marinated chicken & 10g (1\2 tbsp) ginger-garlic paste.
4. Add masala & fry. Then add tomato puree & fry till oil separates. Add salt & vinegar. Cook.
5. When chicken is cooked add apricot along with the juice & simmer the mixture for another 5-7 min.
