Bhuna gosht

Ingredients

Mutton-1 kg
Turmeric powder-1/2 tsp
Cinnamon-2� piece
Bayleaf-2
Cardamom-4
Cloves-4
Badi elaichi-2
Onion-4
Tomato-4
Ginger-garlic paste-2 tsp
Red chilli paste-1 tsp
Cashew nut paste-2 tbsp
Garam masala powder-2 tsp
Coriander leaves- for garnishing
Cashew nut-for garnishing
Fresh cream-2 tsp

Method

1. Boil mutton with turmeric powder, half of whole spices, salt & water, till half done.
2. Grate 2 onions & squeeze the water out. Fry the remaining 2 onions and make a fine paste of it.
3. Cut the tomato into half, squeeze out the water from it & chop it into small pieces.
4. Heat oil in a sauce pan. Add remaining half of the while spices. Allow it to splutter.
5. Now add grated onion & saut� for few minutes. Then add ginger-garlic paste & cook till raw smell disappears.
6. Now add chopped tomatoes, redchilli paste, garam masala powder & cook till oil separates out.
7. Add fried onion paste & cashewnut paste. Saut� and cook for few minutes.
8. Add boiled mutton along with its stock and cook till mutton is fully cooked.
9. Serve the curry garnished with chopped coriander leaves, fried cashew nuts and fresh cream.
