We started on the roof in late July, which took a couple of weeks. We then
put on the house-wrap and the 2" exterior styrofoam insulation. The windows
and doors arrive and were installed. Fall harvest interrupted our work
and in early September we poured the basement floor. We also poured the
driveway and patio concrete and George Krahn construction put up the insterior
walls. The plumbers came to install plumbing and heating and we ran all the
wiring. (I think over 200 electrical boxes in all.) The walls were
insulated as the weather turned cold in late October and the drywallers came
after the vapour barrier was installed. The mudders and painters followed
with the flooring guy coming in late November. The cabinets were
then installed. The finisher installed doors and trim as we installed light
fixtures and finished electrical stuff and the house was pretty much finished. |
