As you can see, walls are up and there's a heating vent in place. We did not
install walls, the heating/cooling ductwork, nor the plumbing. Based on
the observation that the wiring is in and vapour barrier is all in and sealed,
the rough-in electrical inspection has taken place. The ceiling drywall
is long in and the attic insulation has been blown in. And it looks like
it has snowed already. During these October days, we ran the wiring, insulated the walls and sealed the windows with expanding foam (works better being pre-heated with a 200 watt halogen work light). To get to this point was the goal we had in early September. At that time, we realized that in 8 weeks the snow would fly and there were certain things we wanted to have done, mainly so that we would be insulated not have to do them in the cold. Insulation hinged on a bunch of prerequisites such as plumbing/wiring installed as well as having all concrete poured so we wouldn't be in the mud in spring. The goal was met. We started to really appreciate the openness of the sunroom windows in the month of October before the heating was in. We would take our breaks in this room trying to soak up as much sun as possible. |
