Stand Selling

As an apprentice, one of your daily chores is to tend to the farmcraft stand, selling and caring for the various plants and seeds for sale to the common folk. Here is a guide for selling procedures:

Common courtesy: Your objective is to sell sell sell! You don't want to run customers away should you be stunned for an answer to a question they might have, such as 'What are you selling?' No, so there's a solution for this so that if you're an apprentice who lacks actual experience and knowledge, and that would be this guide. When greeting a customer, toss on a smile, no matter how much you might not want to. Next, your objective is to assist them. If they right off the bat say what they want, then that's great! But more often than not, they're just 'window shopping'. In that case, it's always good to ask "Can I help you with anything?" Just remember, whether or not they buy anything, you should always thank them and tell them to have a good day.

What exactly am I selling?: Most likely, the plants that you sell won't be OOCly there. What does that mean? You'll have to @make them yourself! But how do you do this? Simple, follow these steps:

    1. Find out what type of plant the customer wants.
    2. By typing '@make' you'll be prompted to pick one of the following:

1. Generic Plant.

2. Generic Pickable Plant.

3. Generic Growable Crop Field.

    1. Generic Numbweed.
    1. Pick which you want. It will prompt you for the type, etc.
    2. Now it will be up to you to describe the plant. If the customer chooses to do so themselves, then that's alright. If not, have way at it!
    3. Now you'll have to move the plant to you, and set it chownable by typing: @set #dbref.c to 1

And voila! You should be all set. For a price guide of what to charge, you can check out the stand_prices section of the @library. Or, try bartering or bargaining with the customer for more of a RP sake!
