Article 7 - Duties of Officers

A.     President - The President Shall be the chief executive officer and shall preside over all meetings of the general membership. The President shall perform such other duties as the Board of Directors  may direct. The President shall serve on the Board of Directors. The President shall establish committees and appoint members to those committees as deemed necessary from time to time.

B.    
Vice-President - The Vice-President shall, as the President's assistant, carry out specific requests of the President. In the absence of the President, the Vice-President shall act for him/her. The Vice-President shall automatically
become President in the event a vacany occurs in that office.

C.    
Treasurer - The Treasurer shall keep the accounts of the organization and shall receive, for the custody of, and be responsible for, all monies, pay all bills when properly approved by the President, and preserve vouchers covering all payments. The accounts , books, and vouchers shall at all times be open to inspection by any member of the association. The Treasurer shall deposit all funds of the organization in depositories approved by the Board of Directors. At each regular meeting of the Chapter, the Treasurer shall make a statement of the financial condition of the organization. The Treasurer shall perform such other duties as may be assigned by the Board of Directors or may be required of him/her in these bylaws and of the laws of the State of Florida or the Federal government. The Treasurer shall serve on the State Membership Committee.

D.   
Secretary - The Secretary shall issue all notices of meetings of the Association and perform such other duties as may be assigned by the President. The Secretary shall have custody of the corporate seal and records of this organization. The Secretary shall record all meetings and produce condensed minutes for general membership distribution within ten (10) days following a meeting. The Secretary shall chair this organization's nominating committee. The Secretary shall serve on the State Nominating Committee.


Article 8 - General Membership

A.     The general membership shall hold at least nine (9) regular meetings during the year.

B.      Special meetings of the general membership may be called by the Board of Directors at any time.

C.      Ten percent (10%) of the voting members must be present at Chapter meetings to constitute a quorum.

D.      Each member shall have the responsibility of promoting the purposes for which this Association was organized.

E.      The voting members shall elect the Board of Directors and the Officers.

F.      Notice and purpose of all general membership meetings shall be given to the members at least ten (10) days prior to the date of the meeting.


Article 9 - Voting Rights

The privilage of voting shall be solely reserved for REGULAR and ASSOCIATE members.
