Amelie & Jonah - Vintage Catwalk Amelie and Jonah met at a party in the Roaring 20's. The kind of party that all cool cats like themselves attended regularly. Amelie couldn't resist Jonah in his zoot suit. Jonah was equally enchanted with Amelie.  After a two year courtship, Jonah finally popped the question, and married Amelie in the early 30's. They honeymooned together on the beautiful beaches of Australia. Of course Amelie was appropriately dressed in her "neck-to-knee" bathing suit ensuring her modesty was intact.  Amelie & Jonah died in a tragic planecrash on the way home from their idyllic honeymoon and did not experience the joy's of the 40's, 50's or 60's. Which really just means I was running out of time and didn't finish their other costumes! I decided to take the "walk" part of the theme literally and put my cats on a pair of socks. I prefer to go barefoot but when my feet get chilly socks are the next best thing. And when you're lounging around on a chilly evening, feeling a little blue, what could cheer you up more than a handsome pair of cats on your socks. The cats and their clothes are all made of felt, except for Amelie's "feather" boa, which is knitted. They each have velcro on the back, as do the socks, so you can mix and match as you please.  |
