Baking - Breads, scones and the like
basic scones - so good served warm with jam and cream.
fruit loaf - this loaf is delicious fresh from the oven with a smear of butter
orange & date scones - a variation on the basic scone recipe, these are a perfect afternoon tea treat spread with some marmalade and eaten with a cup of tea.
pumpkin scones - another variation on the basic scone recipe.
spiced apple damper
tomato, parmesan & basil scones - still another variation on the basic scone recipe, these are a little more "gourmet", and so very very tasty.

Beef - we don't eat it often, but when we do, these are some of the recipes we love
teriyaki steak burgers - nice for a change from the usual hamburger.

Desserts - need I say more?
cheesecake ice-cream - tastes like a cheesecake, but it's ice-cream, full of chocolate chunky goodness.
lemon & lime cheesecake - this was my first ever attempt at making cheesecake and it turned out so well - just the perfect creamy consistency I like in a cheesecake.

From Scratch - I like to make as much of my food from scratch as possible. I don't make nearly as much as I would like to, but here are some recipes I have tried and had success with.
Pasta - Although I have only made it once so far, fresh pasta is so much nicer than supermarket dried out varieties. It's even better than the "fresh" pasta you get in the refrigerated section. This is only a brief overview of how to make it, but you can email me for more details.
Pizza Base - A delicious pizza base, not too thick, not too thin.

Salads - some are side dishes while others would make great meals on their own
carrot, ginger & orange salad

Seafood - fish is so good for you!
coconut fish with noodles - this recipe is fantastic, rice noodles are so satisfying.
moroccan fish cutlets
parmesan-crumbed baked fish

Snacks - I can't promise these will all be healthy, but they are definitely delicious.
Caramel Popcorn - This popcorn tastes great, but has a lot of butter and sugar in it. Still, it tastes yummy, and we all need some sweetness every now and then, right.

Vegetarian - Meals without meat, so very satisfying.
Chilli Bean Pot - A delicious meatless chilli that can be served a variety of ways; with rice, with cornbread, as a filling for a baked potato, or in a crisp tortilla basket with cheese and sour cream.
creamy pasta with roast vegetables - the original recipe contains bacon, but it tastes so much better without it.
