Happy 2005 Although I tend to think that New Year's Eve is over-rated, P and I had plans to go to a combined New Year's and Housewarming party at Carrie and Simon's new house. Unfortunately I am still trying to get over this flu thing which has turned into a chest infection so we didn't go. Instead we had a quiet night in playing dominoes (you wouldn't think we were 23 and 24 would you?!). It really was fun though and at midnight we watched the fireworks on TV. As much as I do think New Year's Eve is a lot of hype, I always feel funny in those first few minutes of the new year. I seem to "reflect" on the year that was, and almost always wonder what I have to show for it. I am determined that at the turn of 2006 I will be thankful for the past year and counting all the blessings I received throughout 2005. So, the obligatory resolutions. I have decided to make them broad, with a different step to get towards my goals each month. My main goals for this year are to take control of my health, my finances and to have more fun. The January list reflects these things. Well I hope the first day of 2005 was as wonderful and relaxed for you all as it was for us. I expect lots of wonderful things to happen this year. |
