| THE GHOST served with the IND ANG 122 TFG 163 TFS from 1971 to 1979. Then she was in storage at Davis Monthan until August 1990. THE GHOST was sent to Mojave, California and converted to QF 421 Target Drone. THE GHOST somehow survived the Drone program and was returned to Davis Monthan in February 1991 for long term storage. |

| After retiring from the USAF and learning how to surf the net I ran across the AMARC site and started looking around. Low and behold on page 51 of the inventory list was THE GHOST. I could not belive THE GHOST was around afer all she had been through. Most of all the surviving F100's were converted to QF drones, yet here was my old plane from the 1960's at Davis Monthan. THE GHOST sat in the desert as a silent reminder of times past from 1991 to 1998, over 49 years old now. That day began a new journey for THE GHOST and I with my mission to see her saved for future generations. |
