SAIYA-JIN SAGA SUMMARYSeven years after Dragon Ball, Goku has married Chi Chi and they have had a son which they named after Goku’s grandfather Gohan. Goku takes his son to visit the gang at Master Roshi’s, but only moments after they arrive, Goku’s brother, Radditz, shows up on the Earth with the mission to recruit Goku to join him in conquering planets. It is at this time that Goku learns that he is one of the few surviving members of an alien race called the Saiya-jins and as a child he was sent to Earth to conquer it so that it could be sold to highest bidder. Radditz learns that Goku hit his head when he was a kid and that because of it he forgets his mission to destroy the inhabitants of the planet and has become peace-loving. Radditz tries to convince Goku to join him in conquering other worlds but Goku refused. Instead, Radditz learns that Goku has a son, (the tail was a dead give away), so he takes Gohan and gives Goku an ultimatum. Join him or never see his son again! Goku, furious, joins up with his rival, Piccolo, and they use Bulma’s dragon ball radar to track Radditz down (Gohan has one of the dragon balls on his hat). Both of the fighters attack Radditz but are no match for the more powerful Saiya-jin. Piccolo, in his quest to defeat Goku has developed a new attack but must have time to charge up to his full power. Goku then fights Radditz on his own and pretty much gets his butt kicked. During the fight Piccolo has charged up enough and delivers his Makankosappo attack at the distracted Radditz. Unfortunately for the two fighters, Radditz realizes that attack and is able to dodge it, with only a portion of his armor being blown away. Radditz continues to beat around Goku until, Gohan, enraged over his dad being hurt, explodes out of Radditz’s ship with an enormous power level. He attacks Radditz, who is stunned about a child having such a high power. The attack injures Radditz enough that Goku is able to get a strong hold on him. Piccolo begins to power up for another assault, sending the blast through Radditz and Goku.
As both fighters lay dying, Piccolo tell Radditz about the dragon balls and that Goku can be wished back with them. Radditz laughs and reveals that all that Piccolo has told him about wishing with the dragon balls has been transmitted to two even more powerful Saiya-jin warriors, Vegeta and Nappa. Radditz tells Piccolo that the journey will take approximately one year and that when they arrive they will take the dragon balls and destroy them. Both of the injured fighters die at this point.
Goku arrives in heaven and is brought before King Yamma by Kami sama. The request that Goku be allowed to travel and train at King Kai’s (Kaio of the North) is given and he begins his journey along Snake Way. Goku travels along the ten-thousand mile long path, increasing his power as he travels. Months pass and he still has not arrived and is tired. Goku catches a ride with a passing demon who is cleaning the path. He falls asleep and ends up falling off the path. Goku awakens to find that he is in Hell and there is no return unless he is able to defeat the two demon overseers. Goku defeats them and is shown the exit, taking a Yamma fruit in the process, which restores his power. Unfortunately, the exit returns him to King Yamma’s (Enma-sama’s) desk drawer and he must now start his entire trip over. As Goku begins his journey, Piccolo at the same time makes the decision to take Gohan and train him.
Piccolo dumps Gohan in the middle of the wilderness with his first
task..to survive! Piccolo continues his own training while Gohan learns to deal with the various dangers of the wild. Surprisingly Gohan does well on his own, even making and attempt to return to his home. Piccolo confronts him at this time and Gohan makes the decision to train for the upcoming battle. Training begins with Gohan getting pulverized, but he eventually increases his skill and power. The other Z fighters also being preparing for the upcoming battle by traveling to Kami’s (Kami-sama’s) tower.
Krillin (Kuririn), Tien (Tenshinhan), Chozu (Chaozu),
Yamacha, and Yajirobe all increase their powers, even training in the room of Spirit and Time against Saiya-jin fighters. Meanwhile, Goku arrives at the end of Snake Way and reaches King Kai’s (Kaio-sama’s) small planet. His first task is to overcome the planets extreme gravity, which he does easily. Other various, presumably pointless, training exercises follow, including catching Kai’s pet monkey, Bubbles and hitting a cricket-like creature, Gregory with a big mallet. Goku easily accomplishes each task using tricks and his increasing abilities. The next part of his training consists of learning some techniques...(finally...don’t think I could stand another moment of Kai’s puns!). Goku masters the Sprit Bomb (Genki-dama) and the Kaio-ken power up. Time is up for the>br> hero and he has only days to travel back to Earth before the Saiya-jins arrive. This task
seems impossible due to the amount of time it had taken Goku to get there, but his increased speed and power helps to shorten the trip considerably.
After the year the Saiya-jins crash land on the planet, within the city. They proceed to destroy the area and pick up on the power levels of the other Z fighters, who have gathered for the battle. It is at this time that Vegeta notices that Piccolo is not native to the Earth, instead Piccolo learns that he is actually from a planet know as Namek. The battle begins as the Saiya-jins release six Saibamen. Each as powerful as Radditz, the Z fighters battle them one-on-one. Tien, the first to fight, is killed when he is grabbed by the Saibaman and it self destructs. Vegeta, *i love it!*, grows bored and orders all of the Saibamen to attack, but the fighters easily defeat them. Nappa then enters the battle. Chozu, attempts to destroy the Saiya-jin by self-destructing, which angers Tien. Unfortunately, the attack doesn’t work, killing Chozu. Tien, enraged, attacks but soon follows Chaoztu. After the deaths of both fighters, Krillin suggests that Vegeta wait for Goku. Vegeta agrees to give the fighter three hours. During this time Nappa has a little fun, terrorizing the inhabitants of Earth. The three hours come to an end with no appearance of Goku. The battle continues and Goku arrives back on the Earth, picking up some Senzu beans on the way. Vegeta senses that Goku may be more powerful than expected and orders that Nappa kill the others. Gohan is chosen as the first to be killed, but Piccolo saves him by jumping in front of the blast. It seems that he has developed affection for the boy during the past year. Piccolo dies and as a result of his sacrifice Kami dies also. This takes away any hope of wishing the others back with the dragon balls. The only survivors are Gohan and Krillin. Things do not look good for the two remaining Z fighters, until Goku arrives. Goku revives Krillin and Gohan, who have gotten pretty beat around, with a Senzu bean. Goku is angered by the deaths of his friends and the condition of his son and best friend. He approaches Nappa and begins the battle, cool and in total control. Nappa doesn’t stand a chance and Vegeta ends up killing Nappa because he is weak. The final battle of the Saiya-jin saga begins as Vegeta and Goku begin their assault on each other. Goku is able to use his newly acquired Kaio-ken technique to decrease Vegeta’s power and hurt him. Goku’s pushes his body to the breaking point using higher levels of the technique. Vegeta realizes that Goku is too powerful and uses a false moon to transform himself into his more powerful Oozaru form. Goku is able to avoid the huge ape by firing a Solar Flare giving him just long enough time to gather the power for a Sprit Bomb. Vegeta recovers quickly and attacks Goku, scattering most of the energy he had gathered. Vegeta turns his attention to crushing Goku’s body and does not realize the Yajirobe has crept up behind him with his sword. Yajirobe cuts Vegeta’s tail off and returns him to his normal form, which had been weakened from the transformation. Goku is hurt severely and Gohan continues the battle. During the fight, Goku gives Krillin the remaining energy he had gathered for the Sprit Bomb. He instructs Krillin how to form the attack while Gohan looks to be loosing. Krillin successfully forms and launches the attack at Vegeta. Vegeta realizes the attack and is able to dodge it, but Gohan is able to redirect it directly at him. It hits Vegeta in the back and launches him into the air. It looks as if the Saiya-jin has been destroyed but Vegeta survives and summons his ship. Krillin grabs Yajirobe’s sword and is ready to kill Vegeta, but Goku asks him to spare him. Vegeta climbs into his ship and leaves and the remaining fighters are picked up and taken to the hospital.

FURIZA SAGA SUMMARY

Freiza (Furiza) Saga After the battle with Vegeta and Nappa, the problem of bringing back all those that had lost their lives during the battle arose. Because Picollo had been killed, Kami had died and with him gone the dragon balls disappeared. With the new knowledge that Picollo and Kami were Nameks, Bulma, Krillin and Gohan prepare to journey to the planet to search for the Namekian dragon balls in order to wish their friends back.
Goku is still to injured to make the trip so the three set out on board Kami’s repaired Namek ship. During the journey the three land on a planet that they think is Namek. They search for and gather the dragon balls with the help of two friendly Nameks. Upon reaching the last dragon ball, the three find that they are not really on the planet they were searching for, but instead have been tricked by the two aliens that had disguised themselves as Nameks. During this time, Vegeta has returned to Frieza’s base and is rejuvenated. He awakes to learn that Frieza is traveling to Namek in order to capture the dragon balls for himself. Vegeta, enraged, races after him.
After escaping the mysterious planet and other obstacles, Gohan, Krillin and Bulma finally reach Planet Namek and begin their search for the dragon balls only to find that Frieza is already there and has five of them in his possession. Meanwhile on Earth, Goku has healed and is making his way to the planet in a ship that Dr.Briefs’ has modified from one of the Saiya-jin’s space pods. The ship allows him to train in up to 100x the Earth’s gravity and his powers greatly increase under these conditions. Back on Namek, Krillin and Gohan rescue a small Namek named Dende from Frieza. They realize that they are no match for Frieza, so Krillin travels to the Elder Namek, Guru, to obtain one of the last dragon balls have his hidden powers released. Vegeta also attains a dragon ball by wiping out a Namekian village. He hides it and encounters Zarbon. Vegeta and Zarbon fight and Vegeta is defeated. Zarbon takes him back to Frieza’s ship to be rejuvenated. After recovering, Vegeta blasts his way out of Friza’s ship, and steals the dragon balls that Frieza had gathered. Zarbon is sent to kill Vegeta and recover the stolen dragon balls by an enraged Frieza. Both Vegeta and Zarbon spot Krillin fly past with a dragon ball. They both give chase, returning to where Bulma had been hiding. Vegeta and Zarbon fight again, and this time Vegeta defeats him. Krillin is forced to give up the dragon ball due to the fact that he has no chance in a battle against the Saiya-jin. Vegeta, who thinks he has attained all the dragon balls returns to the spot where he hid the final one. Gohan, using the dragon radar, had found the last one and returns with it, encountering Vegeta on the way. Of course, Vegeta is pissed when he figures out what has happened.When Zarbon fails to return, Frieza sends orders for the Ginyu Force to come to the planet. Vegeta races to retrieve the last dragon ball which Bulma is now guarding while Gohan flies to Guru’s to get his hidden power awakened. Vegeta senses Krillin, who is a little behind Gohan and follows him to Guru’s. Vegeta confronts Gohan and Krillin but his plans change when he realizes that the Ginyu Force has arrived on the planet. He joins Gohan and Krillin and the three hurry back to Bulma and grab the last dragon ball. They then speed back to retrieve the rest of the dragon balls. Their plans are thwarted by the Ginyu Force, who have beaten them to the hiding spot. They take the last two dragon balls and Ginyu takes them back to Frieza, leaving the rest of the Ginyu Force to take care of Krillin, Gohan and Vegeta. Guldo (Gerudo) is the first to fight and takes on Gohan and Krillin using his ability to freeze time. He freezes both Krillin and Gohan and then proceeds to beat the crap out of them. He is about to desroy them both when Vegeta steps and kills Guldo.
Ginyu returns the dragon balls to Frieza but they are unable to call the dragon. Frieza sets off to Guru’s house get the words that will allow him to summon the dragon. Meanwhile, Ginyu buries the dragon balls outside of Frieza’s ship for safe keeping. During this time, Recoome (Rikum) proceeds to beat the living crap out of Vegeta. Krillin is next and is defeated also. Gohan is the last one left to fight and does some damage to Recoome but ends up being beaten down as well. Goku finally arrives, after a few obstacles in space, and revives the three fighters with senzu beans. He goes up against Recoome and defeats him with just one punch. The remaining two gang up on him but are easily defeated. Goku quickly puts Burter out of the fight and Jeice, seeing that he is out classed, flies to get Ginyu.Ginyu leaves the Dragon balls hidden and returns with Jeice to battle Goku. Vegeta leaves the battlefield in order to find the Dragon balls and Gohan and Krillin follow. Ginyu proceeds to fight Goku but seeing that there is no chance for him to win, he purposely injures himself and then uses his powers to switch bodies. Goku, trapped in a Ginyu’s battered body, follows Ginyu back to Frieza’s ship.
Vegeta, upon reaching Frieza’s ship, begins his search. Gohan and Krillin use the Dragon ball radar to locate them while Vegeta hides in the shadows. During this time, Frieza arrives at Guru’s house but not before Dende is sent back to Krillin and Gohan with the words that will allow them to make their wish with the Dragon balls. Guru refuses to give Frieza the password. Nail (Neil), a Namek warrior, leads Frieza away from Guru’s house to fight with the intent to give Dende time to reach Krillin and Gohan.
Even with Nail being one of the most powerful Namek’s on the planet he is still no match for Frieza’s power and is easily defeated. Frieza realizes that Dende has the words and quickly returns to his ship, leaving Nail injured. Meanwhile, Krillin and Gohan dig up the dragon balls and attempt to summon the dragon with no success. Ginyu makes his way back to Frieza’s ship, disguised in Goku’s body and attempt to trick Krillin and Gohan. Krillin falls for his trick but Gohan senses that he is not his father. Goku shows up soon after and warns both of them and tells them what happens.

He then tells them both to attack Ginyu in his new form (he is weak because he does not have full control over his new body). Both attack Ginyu and are beginning to win. Vegeta joins the fight and is targeted by Ginyu as his next victim of his body switch. Goku sees what is about to occur and jumps in front of the beam and is returned to his now badly damaged original body. Ginyu again attempts to switch bodies with Vegeta but his plans are ruined when Goku throws a frog in the path of his body switching beam. Ginyu is now trapped in the body of a frog and the frog in Ginyu’s body (this is friggin funny).
Goku, badly injured, is placed in a rejuvenation chamber by Vegeta to recover. Vegeta gives Gohan and Krillin saiya-jin armor and then takes a rest before to recover from his fight with Ginyu. While Vegeta sleeps, Dende returns with the words to summon the dragon. Krillin, Gohan and Dende fly away from the ship and call the dragon to make their wishes. First they wish for Picollo to be returned to life. The second wish requests that he be brought to Namek. There is confusion when Picollo does not appear until the three realize that he was wished to the planet but not their exact location. By this time, Vegeta wakes up and realizes that Krillin and Gohan have already summoned the Namekian dragon. Needless to say, he is pissed! He flies to where they are hiding and demands that the third wish be for him to become immortal.
He threatens Dende into making the wish, but before it can be granted, Guru dies and the dragon disappears and the dragon balls loose their powers. Just as Vegeta remembers that he was going to punish Krillin and Gohan for going behind his back, Frieza shows up. Picollo, who now finds himself on his native planet, begins to make his way to the battle. He pauses as he senses a decreasing power level. Nail had survived Frieza’s attack but is mortally wounded. Nail asks Picollo to fuse with him in order to defeat Frieza. Picollo, who is does not like the idea, finally agrees and Nail is fuses with him. This increased Piccolo’s power level greatly. At the same time, Frieza and Vegeta begin their battle. They are evenly matched, until Frieza transforms into his much larger, more powerful, and much uglier second form. His abilities increase significantly and he now outmatches Vegeta in speed and power. Frieza is the more powerful at this time and Vegeta is outclassed (even though he would never admit it).
Freiza attacks Krillin, stabbing him through his armor with his horn. Krillin, wounded through the gut falls to the ground supposedly dead. Gohan, who witnesses the attack on his friend, attacks Frieza. He manages to do a bit of damage until Freiza recovers and begins to beat the crap out of Gohan. During the battle, Dende, who has the power to heal, revives Krillin from his injured state. Krillin, uses the distraction of the battle between Gohan and Frieza to get a shot off. His attack heads right towards Frieza, who is stunned that Krillin is alive, and is sure to kill him, except that Freiza manages to dodge it. The only damage done to him is to his tail, which gets cut off. Fortunately, the attacks allows Dende to heal Gohan.
Gohan’s power, because he is half Saiya-jin, increases and he again confronts Freiza along with Krillin and Vegeta. Just as they are about to attack, Picollo shows up and stops them. Picollo tells the others that he is going to fight Freiza on his own and that his power matches the evil alien’s. Frieza then transforms into his third form, creasing his power level again. He is now more powerful than Picollo and begins to overpower the Namek. Gohan again becomes enraged and attacks Frieza again.
During the battle, Vegeta, who discovered that Dende could restore someone who was near death, convinces Krillin to attacking him. His belief is that because his power increases after being healed it would increase his power enough to change him into a Super Saiya-jin. Krillin is reluctant but after being threatened, blasts a hole through Vegeta’s chest. Dende refused to heal Vegeta and instead heals Picollo. Gohan and Krillin finally convince him that the only way they can win is if Vegeta is healed and can become more powerful than Frieza.
Vegeta, fully restored, challenges Frieza. Frieza, who laughs at the idea that Vegeta could be a Super Saiya-jin, transforms into his final form. Before the battle begins, however, Frieza kills Dende so that no one else can be healed. Picollo and the others can only watch as Frieza beats Vegeta down. It looks as if it is the end for Vegeta until Goku, fully recovered, shows up. Sensing that Goku is truly powerful, Vegeta taunts Frieza. Frieza, who is tired of Vegeta’s mouth, blasts a hole through his heart. Vegeta, holding onto life tells Goku of Frieza’s role in the destruction of Planet Vegeta and the death of the Saiya-jin race.
He tell Goku that he must destroy Frieza and then dies (sniff, sniff...). Goku, out of respect for the proud Saiya-jin prince, buries him on the battlefield. The battle between Goku and Frieza begins with Frieza trapping Goku in a type of energy ball that can explode if it touches anything but himself. Goku manages to survive the assault but is taunted by Frieza, w ho states that Goku can be easily defeated. Frieza chooses to fight Goku without the use of his hands, but soon is forced to use them to fight him off. During the battle, while Gohan, Krillin and Picollo watch, Bulma meets up with Ginyu, who is still trapped in the body of the frog. She creates a devise that will allow the frog to talk (she has no clue it is Ginyu). He uses his body switching technique and takes over Bulma’s body (kind of creepy if you ask me). He then races to the battle in his new disguise with Bulma, the frog, in tow. Ginyu attempts to change forms again, this time with Picollo, but Bulma jumps in front of the blast, returning to her original body. Frieza is powered up to only half of his true power at this point and Goku is betting beat around pretty badly even in his powered up Kaio Ken X20. Seeing that he has on other choice, Goku begins to collect energy for a Genki-Dama (Sprit Bomb).
Picollo sees that Goku is going to need time to collect enough energy to defeat Frieza and attacks with Gohan and Krillin. The attacks distract Frieza and he fails to notice the incredible mass of energy being formed in the sky. As the battle rages on Namek, another battle begins on Kai’s small planet. The Ginyu force show up and challenges Yamcha, Tien and Chaozu. The battles are easily won and each member is defeated and blasted off the planet down into hell. Meanwhile, Frieza begins to gather energy for his final attack until he notices the huge ball of energy above him. Goku sends the massive force down onto Freiza, damaging the planet slightly with the blast.
Convinced that Frieza has been defeated, Krillin and Gohan search for Picollo and Goku. When it looks as if they did not survive the blast, Picollo emerges with Goku in tow. The group begins to celebrate only to be interrupted as Frieza appears again. As Frieza shoots a blast right at Goku, Picollo throws himself in its path. Frieza then uses his powers, raises Krillin into the air and then blows him to bits, literally. Goku, seeing his best friend’s horrible death becomes completely enraged. Energy begins to gather around him, lightning shoots down from the building clouds and Goku’s hair begins to change colors. Goku’ s hair gradually turns completely yellow and his eyes change to green as he makes his full transformation into a Super Saiya-jin. Goku orders Gohan to take Picollo, ho survived the attack, back to his ship and leave the planet. Seeing that Gohan intends to escape, Frieza attempts to kill him. Goku, stops the attack by crushing Frieza’s hand and bringing him to his knees. Frieza then attempts to attack Goku, but his attacks are stopped easily. With no other option, Frieza forms his planet destroyer and blasts the planet with the intention of surviving the blast with his ability to breath in space. He doesn’t use enough power and the planet has only minutes to be completely destroyed. On Earth, Kami and Popo have collected all the Dragon balls and are ready to make a wish. Kai asks that they use the wish to bring back all the people killed by Frieza. This also restores Guru and brings back the Namek Dragon balls, Dende and Vegeta.
Dende then wishes that everyone on Namek except for Frieza and Goku (by his request) be sent to Earth. Vegeta, who pulls himself from his grave, quickly flies towards the battle with the intention to blast Frieza. Just as he is about to kill Frieza, the wish is granted and everyone is transported to Earth. Goku, wanting to fight Frieza at his full power, encourages him to power up. After little difficulty, Goku tells Frieza that it is pointless to fight him further because he is superior and could easily win. Frieza, insulted by this, attempts to blast Goku with a Distructo Disk (Kienzan) as he is flying away. Goku manages to dodge the attack and Frieza sends a second Distructo Disk at him. Goku plays around with Frieza, easily dodging the attacks until he distracts Frieza and he is hit with his own attack. The Disks slice Frieza in half and almost kills him.
Goku begins to leave but stops to give Frieza some of his energy to use to escape the planet’s blast. Frieza, not wanting to be defeated, uses the energy to send one last attack at Goku. Enraged, Goku easily deflects the blast and incinerates him. Goku now frantically searches for a way to escape as the planet begins to break up around him. He attempts to use Frieza’s ship to leave but finds that he can not control it. As it falls into the lava, Goku is left with no way to escape. We last see him yelling as the planet explodes. Back on Earth, Gohan is given the news that his father is dead. Vegeta, convinced that he is now the strongest person in the universe taunts Gohan. Gohan attacks him but is easily defeated. Convinced that his father can be brought back, the dragon balls are collected and Tien, Yamcha, Krillin, Chaozu and Goku are wished back. All appear except Goku and the dragon informs them that Goku can not be wished back because he is alive. The group attempts to wish Goku back to Earth but are informed that he did not want to be brought to Earth at that time. The Nameks then wish themselves to a new planet and the wait begins for the return of Goku.

ANDROID SAGE SUMMARYGohan’s life is pretty much back to normal after the Garlic Jr. battle. He is back to his studies with a horrendous tutor, who is quickly put in his place by Chi Chi after he insults Goku. It is then that the Z fighters sense the approach of Frieza. Frieza is indeed on his way to Earth along with his father King Cold. On their way they are monitoring the pod that Goku is traveling in. The group along with Vegeta, who had returned to Earth, prepare to do battle and make their way to the area the alien ship is to land. We learn at this point that Frieza managed to survive Goku’s blast on Namek and the explosion of the planet. His father searches for him in space and eventually finds him badly damaged and weak. Frieza’s body is repaired, using mechanical parts and technology, which both increase his power and strength. King Cold and his son land on Earth hours before Goku as begin to instruct their men to begin killing off the inhabitants of the planet. Frieza’s henchmen are beginning to leave when a purple hair boy appears and kills them all with a slash of his sword. The boy then proceeds to tell Freiza that he is there to kill him. Frieza orders what remains of his men to kill the boy. One of the men takes a power level reading and his scouter reads that the young boy possess a power level of only 5. They attack and the young boy destroys them as well. The boy then challenges Frieza and surprises the evil alien by turning into a Super Saiyan. He attacks and slices Freiza in half and then into little pieces, finishing him off with an energy blast. King Cold then steps in thinking that the mysterious boys power comes from the sword he yields. The king convinces the boy to give him his sword. Once he posses it he attempts to slash the boy. Amazingly the kid catches the sword’s descending blade with his bare hand and then blasts a hole through him as he begs for mercy. The kid notices that the Z fighters have arrived and witnessed the fight. He invites them to follow him to the place that Goku would be landing at in three hours time. Vegeta is stunned and angry that there is another Super Saiyan other than Goku. The group decided to trust the stranger and wonder how he knows Goku is on his way and where he is going to land. After a long wait the group is starting to wonder if this kid is lying when a space pod appears and lands exactly where the young boy predicted. Out of the pod emerges Goku in some pretty strange looking clothes. After a brief reunion the Z fighters learn that Goku escaped the exploding planet Namek in one of the Ginyu force pods and traveled to a small planet where he recovered and learned some new moves. It is at this time that the mysterious young boy requests to speak with Goku away from the others. Goku agrees and follows the kid a short distance away. To the amazement of the other fighters, Trunks asks Goku to turn into a Super Saiyan and then does the same himself. He attacks Goku with is sword but stops just as the blade is about to slice Goku in half. Trunks asks him why he did not try to block the attack and Goku tells him that he sensed that he would not complete the attack. Trunks then warns him that this time he will not stop. Goku says ok and puts his index finger in front of him. Trunks then attacks using the same slashing moves that he used to destroy Frieza. Goku easily blocks the attacks using only his finger. Satisfied the Goku is indeed strong enough the young boy tells Goku that his name is Trunks and that he traveled from the future to warn him of the impending danger of two powerful androids that would destroy the Earth in about three years time. He also tells Goku that all of the Z fighters are killed by the Androids except for Gohan and himself. Goku is further informed that he will not even get a chance to battle the androids because he will be struck down with a heart virus that will kill him before the battles begin. The kid then gives Goku an antidote that will cure the disease when he becomes sick. At the end of the conversation, Trunks gives Goku the exact date, time and place of the androids arrival. As he is about to leave, Trunks gives Goku one last bit of shocking information. He reveals that his father is Vegeta and his mother is Bulma and that Goku must not say anything that might endanger his future. If Vegeta and Bulma should find out that they are destined to be together then they may never fall in love. Goku promises not to reveal his identity. With this promise, Trunks takes off. Goku returns to the group and passes on all that he has leaned, omitting the part about Trunks parents. Unfortunately he forgets the specific date of the Androids arrival. Piccolo steps in and it is revealed that he had used his sensitive hearing to listen to the conversation and recalls the date. The group makes the decision to begin training for this new threat. Piccolo, Goku and Gohan decide to train together, while Chozu and Tien plan to go off on their own. Krillin decides to return to Rosh’s to train with him and Yamcha desides to go at his own pace. They all agree to meet up in exactly three years to confront and defeat the Androids. During this three year period, the Z warriors prepare for the upcoming battle. Krillin returns to Roshi’s to train, Yamcha tries to workout in a gym and Vegeta begins his training at Capsule Corps. Vegeta uses Mr. Brief’s inventions to intensify his training and pushes himself to the limit. He is severely injured and is nursed back to health by Bulma only to continue on with his relentless training. Goku, Gohan and Piccolo begin intense training while Chi Chi takes care cleaning up after them and fixing their meals. Needless to say she gets tired of this and sends Piccolo and Goku off to get their drivers licenses. They undergo a few amusing incidents and end up with no license.
The three years draw to an end and the groups of Z fighters arrive at the meeting place, an island containing a populated city that the androids can reek havoc on. Yajirobe arrives with some sensu beans for the fighters and Bulma is there with a baby!! Goku reveals the name of the child before Bulma gets a chance to tell everyone and she is curious as to how he knew. She then reveals that the father of the baby is Vegeta. As Yajirobi takes off in his plane, he is blasted out of the sky and the fighters get realize that the androids are there and that they can not sense their power levels. The androids fly down into the city and the Z fighters follow to look for them. Yamcha is the first to run across them and is quickly grabbed. The android keeps him from yelling out a warning and punches a hole clear through his chest. The sudden decrease of Yamcha’s power alerts the other fighters to the androids whereabouts and they confront the androids for the first time. Krillin takes Yamcha back to where Bulma is waiting and revives him with a sensu bean. Goku realizes that there are too many people around and the androids proceed to destroy the city to illuminate the problem. Goku proposes that they leave for a more isolated spot and the androids agree to follow him.
After the fighters and androids arrive at a small isolated island, Piccolo and the others notice that Goku seems to have been weakened from the trip. Yamcha, who arrives shortly after, reveals that the androids can steal their power. Goku begins to fight Android 19 and as the fight goes on everyone notices that Goku’s power is decreasing and that something is defiantly wrong. The android eventually overpowers him and gets his hands on him and begins to drain his power. Just as it looks like all hope is lost for Goku, Vegeta lands a flying kick to Android 19’s face. Vegeta quickly kicks the ailing Goku over to Piccolo and out of the way. The fighters realize that Goku’s heart is beginning attacked by the heart disease that Trunks predicted. Goku, who had never had any symptoms before, is taken home by Yamcha to get the medicine that should cure him. Chi Chi and Yamcha give Goku the antidote but their is little effect and they are left to take care of him.

Back on the island, Vegeta challenges Android 19. As Vegeta taunts the androids, he reveals that he too has become a Super Saiyan. He reveals that he continued his training in space and that is the reason that they have no information about his newly acquired technique. He explains that while he was in space he was forced to survive and that when he tried to become a Super Saiyan and failed that he became so angry that it triggered the transformation. Vegeta and Android 19 then proceed to fight and Vegeta allows the android to get a grip on his arms and the android begins to drain his power. The android boasts that he will never relinquish his grip and Vegeta laughs and questions him “Never is a long time!” He then jumps up and places his feet on the android’s chest and begins to push, tearing the android’s hands from his body. The android then sees that he is no match for the Saiyan and retreats. Vegeta flies into the and delivers his Big Bang Attack and destroys him with a huge blast. Android 20, who has observed the battle is then confronted by Vegeta. Even though Vegeta’s power has been drained and he is in no condition to fight, he challenges the android to fight. Android 20, fooled by the bluff, retreats back and reveals that there are two more androids. It is at this time that Trunks arrives on the scene and sees that the Android does not look like the ones from his future. Android 20 uses the arrival of Bulma as a cover for his retreat and blasts her plane while he escapes into the mountains. Trunks rescues Bulma and his baby self and then confronts Vegeta about his lack of concern for her and his child. Vegeta eats a sensu bean and followed by Trunks, pursues the escaping android after Bulma reveals that the Android is really Dr. Gero and that he is probably escaping to his hidden lab. Piccolo, Krillin and the others fly after Vegeta and Trunks in the hopes of finding the Android before he gets to his lab. Android 20 realizes that he needs energy and grabs Piccolo with the intention of stealing his energy. Gohan is able to come to Piccolo’s rescue and Piccolo confronts the Android after eating a sensu bean. Piccolo begins the fight and Android 20 is shocked to find that Piccolo is much stronger than he expected and is outclassed. Piccolo reveals that they were warned of the Android attack three years ago and that they had been preparing for them. Android 20 again flees this time to his lab. The Z fighters again pursue the Android and Krillin is the one to find him next, but not before he reaches his lab. The others arrive but too late. They find that Dr. Gero has activated Androids 17 and 18 and the have turned against their master. Android 17 chops off Dr. Gero’s head and turns his attention to another android. 17 commands 18 to release Android 16. Trunks who is shocked to learn that there is another android that he doesn’t know about sends his most powerful blast into the lab, destroying it. To his amazement, the Androids survive and release Android 16. After questioning the newly awakened Android, 17 realizes that the 16’s only mission is to kill fight and kill Goku. The Androids decide to leave and carry out 16’s mission. As they fly away, the Z fighters quickly figure out that the Androids are going to Goku’s house to kill him. Vegeta, who is pissed that the Androids did not fight him, takes off after them, but not before another warning from Trunks that the Androids are powerful. Vegeta ignores him and pursues them anyway. Soon after the Androids leave they decide to stop on a highway in order to attain a car. After a brief disagreement between 17 and 18 and a puzzling conversation with 16 on his creation, Vegeta arrives on the scene and challenges them to a fight. !7 orders 16 to take care of Vegeta but 16 again refuses and restates that he will only fight Goku. 18 takes the challenge to fight Vegeta in his place.

As the fight between Vegeta and 18 begins, she leads Vegeta down the highway, causing numberous accidents. Eventually they end up back where they started and she knocks Vegeta into the mountain wall bordering the highway. At this time the other Z fighters show up, having followed Vegeta and the battle continues, with a warning from 17, If anyone interferes with he fight he will join it. Vegeta is beginning to loose power and stamina against 18 and Piccolo realizes that he will eventually be defeated. 18 lands a crushing blow to Vegeta, breaking his arm, and then moves in to finish him off. Trunks, seeing his father in trouble can hold back no longer and joins in the attack, bringing his sword down onto 18. As the sword connects with 18’s body the strength of 18 damages the blade. 17, seeing that his rule was broken, joins in the fight and the other Z fighters jump in except for Krillin. 17 and 18 beat them pretty bad, leaving Trunks unconscious and the others weakened. As 17 and 18 leave, Krillin questions them about their mission. They tell him to help his friends by reviving them with the Sensu beans and that their only mission is really to kill Goku. As they depart, 18 kisses Krillin on the cheek and the three androids leave. Krillin gives his friends the sensu beans and they are restored to health. Vegeta, having underestimated the Androids takes off on his own and Piccolo does the same. Krillin realizes that Piccolo is going to Kami’s to probably fuse with him again, giving them a better chance in the fight against the Androids. The Z fighters realize that they are in a pretty bad situation and the Androids are indeed more powerful than they had realized. Goku is still combating the heart virus and the medicine is still showing no signs of working. Piccolo arrives at Kami’s tower and explains the situation, but Kami wants time to observe the situation to be sure that the androids are truly a threat to the Earth. While Piccolo and Kami are “discussing” the situation, 16, 17, and 18 steal a van and encounter a motorcycle gang. While the Androids have a little fun, the Z fighters make their way to Goku’s house and load him on a plane to move him so that the Androids can’t find him. They decide to take him to Kami’s place for safe keeping. At this time, Trunks tells the others about his life in the future and that even if he went back in time to change things it would not affect that time line. The others then question him on why he came back if he knew that he could not change his future and Trunks explains that his mother was the reason he traveled to the past. She wanted to at least let someone have the chance for a better life. Also Trunks wanted to see if he could discover any weakness that the Androids might have or even, if Goku was strong enough, take him back with him to destroy the Androids in his time. While they are talking, Bulma interrupts the conversation with a call. She tells them that time machine that looks just like Trunks’ had been found. Trunks sees a picture of it and is confused. He is left wondering why another time machine exists when only one was built.

CELL SAGA SUMMARY

Non-Perfect Cell

After the initial battle with the Androids, the Z fighters realize that the true mission of the evil characters is to kill Goku. The Z warriors decide to move Goku to a safer place and transport him on one of Bulma’s ships. On the journey, Bulma contacts them in order to tell them that a ship, looking just like Trunks’ time machine, has been discovered. She sends a photograph of the craft to them and Trunks studies it. It does indeed look just like his ship, but, he informs her that it is not possible because his ship is safely in its capsule with him. Also, he tells her that only one ship was constructed in his future. Mystified, Trunks and Gohan fly to investigate this strange discovery. Upon arriving, they notice that the word “HOPE” is etched on the side, just like on Trunks own time machine. They also discover a strange egg nearby that looks as if something has hatched out of it. In a nearby town, a mysterious creature is consuming all living things, leaving only the empty clothes of its victims in its path. Piccolo, meanwhile, is waiting for Kami to make his decision on weather or not to fuse with him in order to defeat the Androids. Kami is momentarily distracted as he observes the mysterious creature attack the residents of Ginger Town. Kami, seeing that this is a greater evil that threatens the planet, agrees to fuse back with Piccolo. They complete the task, remaining in Piccolo’s form, and fly to confront the evil creature that lurks in the shadows of the town. After observing the empty clothing of the victims of the town, the creature emerges and Piccolo confronts him. The creature introduces himself as Cell. The two fight and the creature manages to consume Piccolo’s arm. Piccolo, seeing his chance to find out more about the creature, asks him to tell of his plans, leading him to believe that it is his last wish before he is killed. Cell reveals that he is a creation of Dr. Gero. Dr. Gero, in fact, abandoned the Cell project before it was completed due to the time it would take for it to complete. But when Gero abandoned the project, he left the computer running and it completed the work. The project was forgotten in the depths of Gero’s lab and was not affected by the blast that Trunks used to destroy the lab. As the conversation continues, Cell reveals that he actually came from the future. Trunks eventually returns to the future and kills Androids 17 and 18. Cell, fully developed by this time, kills Trunks and steals his time machine to travel to the past. He needs to do this because, Dr. Gero designed him to increase his power by absorbing Androids 17 and 18. He must accomplish this task to obtain his perfect form, and so had to travel to the past where the two androids were still alive. He also reveals that he was very weak in his newly hatched state and need to obtain as much energy as he could so that he could confront the two Androids. He consumed the residents of Ginger town to increase his power level.

At the revelation of Cell’s plan, Piccolo begins to laugh, telling him that he will not allow him to ever obtain his perfect form. Much to Cell’s surprise, Piccolo rips off his own arm and then regenerates it back. He then attacks Cell but the creature manages to escape, consuming more victims as he retreats. Piccolo and the others begin their search for the evil creature. At the same time, the Androids are continuing their search for Goku. They make their way to the Son house, but find it empty. They continue their pursuit and begin to move towards Kami’s where Goku has been moved. As the others search for Cell, Goku manages to recover from his heart illness and teleports to his friends to tell them of a room that they can train in for an entire year as, in their world, only one day passes. The group travel to Sky Palace and as only two can enter the Room of Spirit and Time, Trunks and Vegeta enter first followed by Goku and Gohan. As they are training, the Androids arrive and Piccolo moves to distract them. He challenges them and they fly off to a nearby location to fight. Android 17 goes up against Piccolo first, but during the fight, Cell arrives and begins to taunt 17. Android 17, knowing nothing about this creation of Dr. Gero’s, attempts to destroy him. Cell easily defeats him and is about to absorb him when Android 16 steps in to intervene. Cell is buried by a blast from 16 but is able to absorbs 17 as he emerges from the debris. Cell now has enough power to change into his second from. He is now stronger than 16 and is easily able to defeat him. He destroys 16 and absorbs Android 18, changing into his Perfect form. Meanwhile, Goku and Gohan train in the Room of Spirit and Time, where Gohan has finally able to obtain the level of SSJ. They emerge from the room and travel to confront Cell. Bulma collects the pieces of Android 16 and reconstructs him.

Cell Game

Cell, seeing the group of warriors arrive, decides to determine the fate of the Earth in a tournament. If he wins, he destroys the Earth. Goku beings the battle with Cell and it seems that the two are evenly matched. Suddenly, Goku surrenders the battle and asks that Gohan take his place. He then tossed Cell a sensu bean to make it fair for him to fight. All who watch are shocked at Goku’s actions except Gohan. The small warrior understands the reason his father has asked him to fight. He tells his comrades that when he gets really angry his powers increase to unimaginable levels. Cell, curious about the young boy’s power, begins to taunt and torture him so that he can see his true power. As this happens, Gohan is still not angry enough, and the others must stand back and watch him being beaten. Goku, seeing the others move to intervene, tells them to wait and watch, confident that his son will show his power. Android 16, unable to watch the small warrior being battered, approaches Cell and grabs him from behind. He tells the other fighters to leave the area so that he can use the bomb that Dr. Gero placed in him . Krillin, tells him that when Bulma rebuilt him, she left out the bomb. Cell, hearing this, turns on Android 16 and destroys him again, leaving only his head remaining.

Cell grows tired of the game and threatens to kill Vegeta, Trunks, Krillin, Piccolo and the others that are watching. Cell moves and steals the bag of sensu beans that Krillin possess and then, counting the number of fighters, spits out seven duplicates of himself from his tail. These little blue Cell Juniors attack the Z fighters while Gohan is forced to watch. The fighters are loosing against their opponents while Mr. Satan, with a group of reporters and camera men, watch the scene. Android 16’s head, which was kicked near them, asks Satan to take him near Gohan. He tells Satan that he must do it in order to save the plant and Satan, reluctantly, carries him over to where Gohan is standing. Android 16, now near enough to talk to Gohan, asks him to fight. Cell sees this and steps on android 16’d head and crushes it. Gohan, angered by this, finally gets enraged enough to surpass his SSJ level and achieves SSJ level 2. With this transformation, Gohan steals back the bag of sensu beans and then attacks and destroys all the Cell Juniors. Finally seeing Gohan’s hidden power, Cell powers up to 100% power. Gohan attacks and with a powerful kick, Cell spits Android 18 out and returns to his second form. Seeing he is still no match for the saiya-jin even at his highest power, Cell activates the bomb within himself in order to destroy the planet. Goku, having no other option, grabs Cell and teleports to King Kai’s planet. There, Cell explodes and kills Goku, Kai, Bubbles, and Gregory. The Z fighters are torn between celebrating the defeat of Cell and morning Goku’s death. Suddenly, a blast erupts from the sky and hits Trunks, blasting a hole through his chest. He is killed instantly and Cell emerges from the clouds in his Perfect form. It seems that when he self destructed, one cell managed to survive. From that single cell, he was able to regenerate himself. Furthermore, because he possessed cells form a Saiya-jin, he was able to return to his Perfect form, without Android 18. Vegeta, seeing his son killed, goes nuts and attacks Cell. He fires multiple ki blasts, but as the smoke clears they see that Cell is unscathed. Cell then attacks Vegeta and knocks him out. He is about to blast him, when Gohan intervenes. Gohan blocks the attack, placing his own body between Vegeta and the blast and injured his arm in the process.

Cell and Gohan then enter into a battle of who can hold their Ki blast the longest. They both fire and Cell begins to overwhelm Gohan’s blast, while the small fighter tries to hold on. The other Z fighters yell encouragement to the young Saiya-jin along with Kai and Goku from the afterlife. The others attempt to help by sending their own attacks at Cell but they have no effect and are blasted back. Vegeta recovers and flies above the fight, in awe that Gohan is stronger than him. He blasts Cell from above and while the green fighter is distracted, Goku encourages Gohan to increase his attack. Gohan begins to fight back, increasing his power and overwhelms Cells attack. The blast engulfs Cell and he is completely destroyed. The Z fighters celebrate the defeat and leave the area to return to Kami’s so that their comrades can be healed. Mr. Satan recovers and sees his opportunity to take credit for killing Cell. Meanwhile, Dende heals Gohan and Android 18. Krillin asks for his friends to spare her life and gets teased about his crush on her. Meanwhile, the dragonballs have been collected and Dende summons the Dragon. First they wish for the bombs to be removed from the Androids and then wish for everyone who was absorbed or killed by Cell to be revived. Unfortunately, Goku can not be revived and Gohan is left to tell his mother of his father’s demise.

MAJIN BUU SAGA SUMMARY
Seven years span the time after the Cell game and Gohan has grown and is now a teenager in High School. He is attending Orange Star High School and has secret identity as the Great Saiyaman. Gohan also has a girlfriend, the daughter of Mr. Satan, Videl. Gohan also has a little brother, Goten, who is best friends with Trunks who is now eight. Krillin and Android 18 have gotten married and they have a daughter named Marron. Gohan trains his little brother while Vegeta trains Trunks. Both are surprised when both children are able to obtain the level of SSJ. Goku, in the afterlife, competes in a martial arts tournament with is new friend and sparing partner, Paiku-han. It seems that all is peaceful and another Tenkaichi Boudoukai is being held. Number 18 enters and Trunks and Goten want to enter too. Unfortunately the two young fighters are too young to compete. This rule does not stop them though. They steal the costume of another contestant. Goku, being dead, is given the opportunity to compete in the tournament and is given one day on Earth. Piccolo competes against a competitor named Kaio-shin. Upon sensing his power, Piccolo is shocked. Gohan is also competing, but in his disguised identity, the Great Saiyaman. Videl has also entered the competition. She goes up against a character named Sopobitch who has a strange “M” on his forehead. Sopobitch ends up beating the crap out of Videl, torturing her in the process. Gohan, seeing his girlfriends being repeatedly beaten, gets angry and blows off his headband. Finally, Sopobitch kicks Videl out of the ring and Gohan goes to her aid. Goku teleports to Korrin’s tower to get her a sensu bean and returns to the competition.

Gohan then goes up against Kibit. Unfortunately, he forgets to put his costume back on and he is recognized by people in the audience. The fight begins and Gohan turns SSJ. Sopobitch and Yamu, another competitor with the strange “M” on his forehead, pull out a strange lamp that absorbs his energy and he drops to the ground drained. The two mysterious fighters fly away and the Z fighters are mystified as to what just happened. It is at this point that they are approached by the fighter that competed against Piccolo. Kaio-shin, introduced himself and his assistant and restore Gohan’s energy. They then tell the fighters that they are powerful gods stronger than King Kai and need their help defeat an evil being named Babidi. This evil magician is being helped by the Prince of Darkness, Darbura. Babidi’s enjoys destroying all living things and has the ability to turn people who have evil in their hearts into slaves. Kaio-shin reveals that Babidi’s plan is to revive an ancient being named Buu. In order to do this, he must collect a large amount of power. This is what Sopobitch did to Gohan and Kaio-shin allowed it them to carry out their plan so that they could be followed to Babidi’s ship. Meanwhile, Sopobitch arrives back with the stolen energy and is killed by Babidi. The energy is given to Buu, and Babidi is surprised that Sopobitch was able to collect such a large amount of energy. The Z fighters, during this time, have followed the Babidi’s two slaves back to the evil magician’s hideout. Unfortunately, they are sensed by Darbura and are confronted by the dark warrior. Kaoi-shin attempts to warn the fighters about Darbura’s special attack, but he is too late. Piccolo and Krillin are hit by his spit (YUCK!) and are turned to stone. The only way to free their friends is to kill Darbura. Gohan, Goku, Vegeta and Kaio-shin all enter Babidi’s lair to confront the evil prince. The fighters enter the ship on the first floor and are confronted by their first opponent. The only way to get to Babidi is to defeat a strong opponent at each level. Vegeta easily defeats the first fighter and they move to the next floor. Goku is next to fight and he also defeats his opponent. Finally, Gohan is next. Suddenly, Darbura appears and takes on the fighter. Gohan is loosing when Darbura suddenly breaks off the fight. The Prince of Darkness returns to Babidi and tells him of another plan to get the energy needed to revive Buu. He had observed Vegeta and realized that he had evil in his heart and could be made a slave by Babidi. Babdi casts his spell and Vegeta is captured in its intensity. Realizing what was happening, Kaio-shin reveals that Vegeta is being made a slave in order to defeat them. Goku and Gohan tell Vegeta to fight the spell but Vegeta allows himself to become enslaved and an “M” appears on his forehead just like the one that Sopobitch had. Meanwhile, Trunks and Goten, in their disguise, end up competing against Android 18. She suspects that there are two of them when they keep changing positions, fighting with a different technique each time. When they transform into SSJ, Android 18 realizes it is Goten and Trunks and splits their costume in half, revealing the deception. The two small fighters fly off so that they will not be caught and meet up with Videl, who tells them that their fathers and Gohan have gone off to fight Babidi and Majiin Buu. The two, excited to see a majiin, rush off to join in the fight. At the same time, Android 18 is left to fight Mr. Satan. She makes a deal with him to allow him to win if he pays her the prize money from the competition. He agrees and she basically throws herself from the ring. As the Goku, Gohan and Kaoi-shin stand shocked at Vegeta’s transformation, Babidi, transports them to the middle of the Tenkaichi Boudoukai ring, where Mr. Satan is celebrating his victory. Vegeta challenges Goku to a fight and when he refuses, Vegeta blasts the stands, killing many spectators. Goku is forced to agree and asks for them to be transported to a remote area. His request is granted and the two being what has got to be the best fight in DBZ. As they fight and injure each other, their power is donated to the resurrection of Babidi. Gohan and Kaoi-shin arrive just as Buu’s power level reaches maximum. Babidi transports them outside the ship and Buu is resurrected.

Babdi and the newly released Buu travel around the cities of Earth, terrorizing the populations, turning them into candy which Buu consumes. As this happens, Vegeta is convinced by Goku to stop the fight temporally so they can deal with the problem of Buu first. Just as Goku reaches for a sensu bean and turns his back on Vegeta, the Saiya-jin prince hits him on the back of the head and knocks him unconscious. Vegeta then realizes that he can no longer be evil because Goku’s good always wins out in the end. He then flies to confront Buu. Buu is more powerful and is able to get hold of Vegeta, beating him into unconsciousness. Fortunately, Trunks intervenes and knocks Buu off of his father. Trunks is soon joined by Goten and the two revive Vegeta. Vegeta then asks Trunks to take care of his mother. He then hugs Trunks for the first time and then knocks both of the boys unconscious. Meanwhile, Piccolo who has been revived with Darbura’s death by Buu’s hands, takes care of Babidi. He attacks and chops him in half. Piccolo then descends and is asked by Vegeta to take the boys to safety. Piccolo realizes what Vegeta intends to do and quickly leaves the area with Krillin and the kids. Vegeta, truly good now, decides to sacrifice himself for the good of others. He wishes, Bulma, Trunks and Goku farewell and self-destructs. Buu is blasted into a million pieces in the huge blast. Unfortunately, Buu had not been defeated in the blast. All of the pieces that were scattered with the blast emerge as miniature copies and they gather and form the evil Bu again. Goku recovers and transforms to SSJ level 2, but is still not powerful enough. Goku finally become angry enough that he reaches a new level, SSJ3. Bulma, meanwhile, has collected the Dragon Balls and wishes that all the people killed by Babidi’s slaves be revived. Buu at this point, splits into two beings, one of good and one of evil. The good Buu is no match for his evil counterpart and is transformed into a cookie and eaten. Buu then is able to transform into a taller, more adapted to fighting form. During this time, Gohan is transported to Kaio-shin’s planet. He travels with Kaoi-shin and his assistant to retrieve the Zet sword. His clothes are transformed and look similar to that of Kaoi-shin. He is able to pull out the sword and begins to train under Dai Kaoi-shin. It is here we learn about Buu’s first appearance. Dai Kaio-shin tells Gohan of an evil sorcerer named Bibidi, Babidi’s father, and how he controlled Buu and used him to destroy the Kaio-shins. Buu was eventually cursed into a less powerful form, then trapped and Bibidi was defeated. Buu become irritated and demands to be taken to the powerful fighter. He threatens to kill everyone there and Piccolo, realizing he is no match for the powerful warrior, consents. He takes Buu into the room and Gotenks fights him. They are evenly matched and it looks like there is no chance to defeat the evil villain. Piccolo blasts the door of the room to ensure that Buu can not escape. Buu, seeing his exit destroyed, creates a portal with a blast that allows him to escape. Gotenks attempts to create the same portal but can’t. He powers up tremendously and is able to reach SSJ level 3. He is now powerful enough to create the same portal as Buu and escapes. They battle again and Sky Palace is destroyed during the fight. Gotenks manages to blast Buu back down to Earth and he and Piccolo fly down to search for his body. Unfortunately, Buu is still alive and the Gotenks’ fusion wears off. The two young fighters are no match for Buu in their unfused state. Fortunately, Gohan has finished his training and is teleported back to Earth. He challenges Buu and is bale to beat him. Buu, seeing he is defeated, blows himself up. The Z fighters believe that Buu has been destroyed and fly off, but are surprised when they are again confronted by Buu. Goten and Trunks again fuse but are absorbed by Buu. Because they were at SSJ3 form, Buu is now more powerful than Gohan. Gohan is being beaten and Buu sends a tremendous blast at him. Gohan attempts to block the blast but suddenly, another blast knocks Buu’s blast aside. Tien has appeared and has managed to repel Buu’s blast. Unfortunately, Buu quickly forms another blast.
Vegeta’s soul is before King Yamma, and he is given life again so that he may help in the fight against Buu. Kaio-shin meanwhile tell Goku about the Pottera earrings that will allow the wearers to fuse. Kaio-shin and his assistant demonstrate how to wear the earrings allowing the two fighters to fuse permanently. Goku is given the earrings so that he and his son can fuse to beat Buu. Kaio-shin then gives up his life so that Goku can return to Earth to fight. Goku teleports to Earth and arrives just in time to save Gohan from another of Buu’s ki blasts. Goku throws a blast at Buu and he is chopped in half. Goku then tosses one of the earrings to Gohan and he begins to put it on. One part of Buu manages to consume Piccolo and the other consumes Gohan. Buu returns to his powerful form. Suddenly Vegeta arrives on Earth and finds the earring Gohan dropped. After much convincing, Vegeta agrees to wear the earring and the two are pulled together and transform into the powerful fighter, Vegetto.

Vegetto fights against Buu but allows himself to be absorbed. He does this in order to rescue Gohan and the others that have been consumed by the evil villain. When they are absorbed, the permanent fusion of the earrings is counteracted and Vegetto splits back into Goku and Vegeta. The two find their fallen comrades and rescue them, escaping out of one of Buu’s pores. They return to their normal size as they exit his body. Unfortunately, with the absorption of Vegetto, Buu has enough power and now able to return to his original form. He forms a huge blast and blows up the Earth. Luckily, Goku with the help of Kaio-shin, teleports Vegeta, Trunks, Goten, Gohan, Piccolo, Dende and Mr. Satan to Kaio-shin’s planet. They are followed by Buu who attacks Goku. Goku it seems is no match for the fighter and Vegeta intervenes to allow Goku to collect enough power for a Spirit Bomb. Vegeta is getting beaten when Mr. Satan shows up. Mr. Satan, believing that he is dreaming, approaches Buu. Buu attacks Satan, but he is able to dodge the attacks (basically it is pure luck that he does this because he is begging for mercy at the time). As he attacks, Buu suddenly stops and seems to be consumed with pain. All of a sudden, Buu spits out Fat Buu, who was friends with Mr. Satan. The two Buu’s fight, Good Buu unfortunately, is weaker and begins to loose. Vegeta and Goku must then take on Buu again. Vegeta tells Kaoi-shin to collect the Namekian dragonballs and three wishes are made. The first restores the Earth. The second revives all those killed by Buu and the third wish is saved for a later time. Vegeta distracts Buu long enough for Goku to form a huge Spirit Bomb (Genki Dama). The Z fighters ask that all the people on Earth raise their hands so they can donate their energy to make the Spirit Bomb bigger. Unfortunately, no one listens until they see their hero, Mr. Satan do it. Goku is then able to gather enough energy to form a large enough blast to kill Buu. Goku throws it at Buu but he is repelling it. The last wish from the Dragon Balls is used to restore Goku’s strength and the Saiya-jin is able to increase the strength of his blast. Buu is overwhelmed and can no longer hold off the blast. He is killed as the powerful attack consumes him. After the battle, Fat Buu recovers and Satan pleas with the Z fighters not to destroy him. They agree and Fat Buu joins them.
