FAIRHOSTESS

Those lady's with there custum made uniform, blue skirt
and red jacket, were the business cards from the Expo. Every one who saw there friendly face, felt like home. About 300 were promoted to FAIRHOSTESS and were there to serve the visitors at the expo. Not only at the fair but also at the entrances of Belgium. Visitors from outside Belgium were greeted by the hostesses at the frontiers. Naturaly they had to speak more than one language. The major part of them could speak 3 , 4 or 5 different languages. They were also the ambassadors at the expo to greet the VIP's and to get them around the expo grounds.

Deze dames met hun op maat gemaakt uniform, blauwe
rok en rode jacket, waren de uithangborden van de Expo. Ieder die hun vriendelijk gezicht zag voelde zich dadelijk thuis. Ongeveer 300 dames werden tot FAIRHOSTESS gepromoveerd en hun taak bestond erin de bezoekers te dienen op de expo. Niet alleen op de expoterreinen maar ook aan de grenzen van Belgi�. Bezoekers van buiten Belgi� werden bij hun binnenkomst begroet.
Natuurlijk moesten ze meer dan ��n taal meester zijn. Het overgrote deel sprak zelfs 3, 4 of 5 verschillende talen. Ze waren tevens de ambassadeurs van de expo om de VIP's te begroeten en rond te leiden op de expogronden.

The expo had to be
promoted and of course that was a task for the lovely lady's of the corps Hostesses. A group travelled around the world on a promotion tour. The best promotion material in hand, the posters and a Atomium model on scale.

De expo moest natuurlijk
gepromoot worden en dat was natuurlijk een taak welke weggelegd was voor de mooie dames van het corps Hostessen. Een groepje hostessen trok de wereld rond . Met het beste promotiemateriaal in de hand, posters en een schaalmodel van het Atomium.

          One of their task was looking
           after lost children and returning them to their parents. Wich was not the least important task.

          Een van de taken was de zorg
          voor verdwaalde kinderen en de hereniging met hun ouders. Zeker niet de minst belangrijkste taak.

          After a long and hard days
           work the lady's liked to visit the expo as a guest and they enjoyed it in group.

          Na de lange en vermoeiende
          dagtaak genoten de dames ervan de expo te bezoeken als gast en ze genoten ervan in groep.

For them also the end of the Expo 58 came but they took it, as usual, with a big smile on their face

Ook voor hen kwam het einde van de Expo 58 en zoals gewoonlijk namen ze het op met de glimlach
