Section 4.1 - Using the Undo and Redo Buttons
As you are entering a recent data type on the worksheet, you may find that you have to cancelor correct a mistake. The Undo function allows you to reverse the command or action. While the Redo function allows you to restore a previous action.
- To display the Undo and Redo buttons on the Quick Access Toolbar, click the drop down arrow and check the Undo and Redo commands.
- Click the Undo button to reverse a command and the Redo button to restore a previous action.

Section 4.2 - Using Cut, Copy and Paste Commands
You can cut, copy and paste values, texts, formats, formulas worksheets and graphic objects in your worksheet or workbook. You can also within Excel or between Excel and another Windows application. The cut or copied content will be temporarily stored in a "Clipboard".
There are two ways on how to cut, copy and paste contents; (A) By using the Clipboard Group, (B) By using Context Menu.
By using the Clipboard Group
- Step 1. Select or highlight the cell or range of cells you want to copy or cut.
- Step 2. Click the Home tab, got to the Clipboard group and click the Copy or Cut button.
- Step 3. Go to the cell where you want to place your cut or copied data.
- Step 4. On the Clipboard group, click the Paste button.
By using the Context Menu
- Step 1. Select the cell or range of cells you want to copy or cut.
- Step 2. Right click the mouse to show the Mini toolbar and Context menu.
- Step 3. Click Cut or Copy command from the menu.
- Step 4. Click on the cell where you want the data to be placed and right click the mouse.
- Step 5. On the Context menu, click Paste command.
