Excuse
My
Sock
This be where I will talk about the sometimes brilliant, often camp, and always, always ridiculous EM'S the experimental-serious-comedy-rock collective.

The Line-Up

There has been some confusion over the line up recently, but it seems to have settled down now to:

Thom Power
Jack Howarth
Peter Cribley - Keyboard, Vocals
The Vedge - Bass, Guitar
Edward Feery - Percussion (ok, triangle), Soon-to-be guitar

(Just a note - these one-liners are gradually being replaced with full biographies over the next few days/weeks)

News

EM'S are in the process of writing and recording their debut single. It is a Bohemian Rhapsody based song, heavily ivolving the mothers of Chris Myerscough and Peter Fennel. Stay Tuned.
Christmas double A-side,
Santa's cellar and The Christmas Gangsta Rap has been postponed, and will be released around July.
Santa's Cella
r is a Radiohead styly song about a drunken santa, while the rap is about the gangsta lifestyles of much loved Christmas characters such as Rudolph and Frosty.

The songs

Aside from our recent
Bohemian Rhapsody song, EM'S have several high quality songs. There are the two upcoming Christmas songs  for example, and the Cribley penned blues hit, 'I'm a Bum', modern classic 'Caution: Wet Floor' (which is NOT based on Electric 6 hit 'Danger: High Voltage') and its equally succesful  follow up 'Neigh-bour'. Also there is the hugely productive lyricism of vocalist Thom, who has written enough lyrics to fill several albums. However dificulty has been had so far in matching up any of these lyrics with any music. Guitarist McJack is working on this.

The Leg-end

Formed several months agoas a joke band by
McJack, Cribs, and The Dant, the origional EM'S did not bother with instruments. All music was created in the throats of the genii involved, and all lyrics were improvised. During this troubled period, the band produced one EP, on tape. Only one copy was made, which is safely in the hands of Cribbers. The turning point cam when Thom arrived, and the band was forced into the mysterious depths of real music.

The band went on to write several songs, nearly break up several times and then write a geniusly crap song. The end. What a rushed conclusion to the story.
