| The bassist and main songwriting force behind Em's, relatively little was known about Thom until recently, when he began playing a major part in the McS&F social and music scene. Generally reclusive at the best of times, Thom's crippling agoraphobia meant that, until he was moved into Fitzy's English class, he was rarely seen in any space larger than his classrooms. Thanks to the sterling efforts of Jack and Sean, however, Thom has managed to overcome his fear for the most part, but still finds it a great struggle to be in such large open spaces as Liverpool town centre on Saturdays, for example. Thom is the most recent person to join the Em's musicians, despite having been a songwriter from the beginning. It is interesting to note that, despite being the Em's bassist, Thom is in fact best known for his remarkable recently-discovered singing talent. Most of Em's have never actually heard Thom play the bass, which begs the question why he was chosen to play it in the first place. |
