The Toastmasters educational programme consists of two tracks -

- communication track

-  leadership track.

As a new member you commence in the communication track as this is where you learn speaking and listening skills.  Eventually you may choose to participate in the leadership track, too.  The two tracks are not mutually exclusive, you can work in both at the same time.  Both tracks provide recognition for specific accomplishments.

Your first step is to complete the Communication  and Leadership Programme Manual.  On completion of the 10 project speeches in this manual, you will receive the Competent Toastmaster Award (CTM).

Each speech in the project manual is designed to develop your speaking skills one step at a time.  Every project speech builds upon what you have learned in the preceding speeches.
