Zero
Duty for CNG Components in Philippines
Components,
parts and accessories used in the manufacture of
compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicles in the
Philippines will be subject to zero Customs duty
commencing next week. Other vehicle types included in
the Executive Order signed last month by Philippines
President, Gloria Arroyo, include hybrid, flex-fuel
and electric vehicles. More

Report: NGV's in Pakistan
Compressed
natural gas (CNG) development in Pakistan started in
the mid eighties when HDIP* set up two CNG refueling
stations in Karachi and Islamabad (major cities of
Pakistan). Due to excellent production and
distribution of natural gas in Pakistan, today there
are more than 800 CNG refueling stations operational
either at existing petrol stations or separately on
dedicated sites. 300 more are expected in the coming
six months.

Natural Gas Powered Honda Civic GX Debuts in LA
American
Honda Motor Co., Inc., has debuted its all-new
compressed natural gas (CNG) powered Civic GX at the
2006 Greater Los Angeles Auto Show earlier this month.
Scheduled to go on sale at select Honda dealers
throughout California in May, the Civic GX proposes a
pathway to energy independence, produces near zero
emissions, and delivers benefits to owners in the form
of tax breaks and single passenger carpool lane
