| its no use turning up to a crave empty handed in the final hour, youll miss out on all the fun you silly thing! the key lies within the planning. i have made your life so much easier for you by narrowing it down to a few key essentials.
step I where are you going? (maps! train stations! opening times! pubs in the area!) who else? (the who iz comin 2 da studioz 2morro? thread might give you clues!) if you then discover 100 millions randoms are going, youll know in advance not to bother as youre not gonna get a look in. the web is THE best thing that ever happened for us cravens, where would we be without it? i often wonder how cravens worked back in the olden days before the net and mobile phone (if you are an olden days craven, please contact me and let me know!)
step II print off train times from the web and have backups in case you miss your connection or the line is down. check for engineering works. print off maps so you dont get lost no point turning up at the bus station to find the drivers are on strike that day, ooops
step III i created a whole section for this
step IV have a list of the times the object of cravedom will be arriving and leaving and plan carefully around it, being early is a must its gutting to arrive 5 minutes late, what a horrible feeling that is make sure your craving buddies all know what time youre meeting. i remember how gutted I was when my mates missed a crave by a matter of minutes. And also how gleeful i was when my rivals were late, hehe. giving out wrong info about the schedule is a good way to get a private crave when 100 million randoms are planning to turn up. oops, did I say the plane was at 8pm, oh sorry it was 8am, oh well.
step V store all relevant phone numbers on your mobile and make sure its fully charged! other cravens is essential, plus cab companies, train timetable helpline, hotels, and 118 of course for those emergency craves when youre rushing around finding where that venue is once we asked my object of cravedom why hed left early and he said he was off to a gig. so we rang a mate who was a fan of that band who told us where the gig was, then 118 to find out the address and nearest tube station of the venue. our clever thinking got us a second crave, woohoo
