All of Ellen's works are hand made and unique.
They are high fired stoneware, fired using a gas kiln. All pieces are microwave and dishwasher safe.
Ellen began studying ceramics in 1983 while living in England. A native Californian, Ellen found the colorful multicultural influences yet constant grey skies of London inspiration to move inward and create in clay.
Ellen believes that the creatures that adorn her pieces are channeled through her. They are archetypal symbols, coming from the magic of the Mother Earth and the forces of the unconscious. They are made with love, giving new life to the clay that they are created from. They speak in a language that we humans, are beginning to remember and understand.

Her ceramics has appeared in exhibitions in London, San Francisco and Barcelona and is or has been sold in Spain, Switzerland, France, Italy, England and throughout the United States.
