Just what is a Rite or a Ritual?
Webster�s Dictionary says:
Rite: A set form for conducting a ceremony.
Ritual: A system of rites - A ceremonial act or action.

Ritual: A focused mental/physical ceremony to either honor or thank one�s chosen pantheon or to perform a specific magickal working or act.

A specific form of movement, manipulation of objects or series of inner processes designed to produce desired effects. In religion, ritual is geared toward union with the divine. In Magick, it produces a specific state of consciousness which allow the magician to move energy toward needed goals. A spell is a Magical Ritual.
