| THE GUARDIANS~ A group of mutants fighting the law, evil mutants, and for control over their own powers. They fight outside the law to aid it and therefore must be careful where they are seen for they are wanted by the police. Founded by a man only known as Sampson the Guardians were brought together to keep the dream of coexistance between humans and mutants, the same belief held by the previous, now deceased, groups of superheros. Although that is their ultimate goal each team member joined for their own reason, wheather it be to help other mutants, to learn control, or they didn't have any other place to go. They must learn to depent on each other and to work together to conquer their powers and their fears. THE GORGONS~ A group of outcasts who were shunned by the world. But instead of understanding they wished and saught revenge. A group of mutants and an outcast even within the outcasts, a woman mutated by intense radiation. They will stop at nothing to fullfill their thurst for the retrabution that they feel they deserve and to conquer those who will stand in their way. They lack control over their hatred and their intense powers. They are a threat to humanity, other mutants and themselves. It's up to the Guardians to put an end to their hatred before it smothers the world. But will they do it in time? Or will they be willing to join the Gorgons in their revenge? |
| GUARDIANS #1-3 Ace quits the Guardians and runs into Armageddon when he is approached by Tsunami to join the Gorgons. They (Ace, Isis, Tsunami and Armagedon) fight the Sentry and end up on the news. The Guardians think that Ace has joined the Gorgons. Ace does join the Gorgons and adapts the name Wild CArd. Meanwhile the Guardians recieve information on the Gorgon's plans and prepare to stop them. The field team arrives only to find out that Ace is going to kill them. Medusa stops her from killing them and the Gorgons and Guardians fight. Serenity is over powered by Armageddon and Wild Card stops him from killing her. A figure lurking in the shadows who had watched the fight emerged and challanged Ace. She accepted and they blew up. The Gorgons leave while the Guardians search for Ace. When they don't find her they return home where Sampson tells them that Ace left the Guardians to play spy for him. The Guardians all remember their comrade who is missing in action but whom they believe is dead. |

| SUMMARY |
| GUARDIANS #4-5 A week or so after Ace's death, a field team consisting of Hope, James, Kai, Garret and Jacob go to Japan where terriorists are bombing various towns and villiages for no known reason. They stay in the home of Hope's parents where she is forced to confront them with her feelings of her childhood. On the way home they are having trouble contacting Renegade and Genesis who stayed at home to work on various programs only to have to fight for their lives when the new A.I system believes them to be intruders. Then Sampson confides in Renegade, once the team has returned, that Ace may very well be alive. GUARDIANS #6-7 REnegade leaves on Sampson's order to rescue Ace, if she alive while the other teammembers remain unaware. THen Sampson sends those remaining at HQ on a blind mission after Rancor the man they believed to have killed Ace. Renegade rescues Ace, blows up Rancor's compound and retreats to the USA while Ace recoperates from her entensive injuries. Meanwhile after the mission the remaining Guardians have a memorial for Ace on the one month anniversary of her death. |
