what is minimaximalism?

in computer science, the 'minimax' is a game playing algorithm based on the premise of minimizing the maximum loss. the idea is to assume that your opponent will always make the best move - so your best move is the one that limits how good his best move can be.

minimaximalism probably doesn't have anything to do with that, though. even if it's a good thing to keep in mind.

minimaximalism is the idea of making the subtliest grand gestures imaginable. it's about that single hand clap that leads to uproarious applause. it's about words that change the world, and it's about ideas speaking louder than actions ever could. it's about napoleon bonaparte cutting men down with butter knives.

minimaximalism is the idea of extreme juxtaposition and extremes in general. good and evil, right and wrong, fantasy and reality, life or death or else. minimaximalism is about falling in love and falling apart. it's the double-think that'll save language and freedom and our society. it's the answer to the question that nobody thought to ask. a scream that no one can hear. it's the wonderful dream that makes you want to wake up so you can make it come true, and it's the reoccuring nightmare that you come back for night after night so it can make you feel alive again.
