*Pet owners and responsible breeders dedicated to bettering the breed*
No
dog with a known health problem should
be bred. Chronic issues such as
inhalant allergies, inflammatory bowel
disease, and epilepsy should be red
flags NOT to breed a dog. Even if a
disease has not been “proven” to be
genetic does not mean it will not have
an effect on an affected dog’s
offspring. Take into account not only
the ethical problems with breeding an
unhealthy dog, but the potential
heartbreak to the puppy’s family when
they have to see their beloved pet
ill. A list of breeders joining us in our plight. Copyright © 2004 Everything Maltese
