Beefy's mad dash around London - all in a day (continued)

6.30 p.m. Rest for a while next to the Tower of London, pass Traitor's Gate (the real one - didn't get wet this time), then return to Trafalgar Square (again!).

7.00 p.m. After twenty minutes walk, reach Piccadilly Circus on foot.   More impressive at night, but there's a train to catch and the two toys must move on.

7.15 p.m. Underground to Leicester Square, Hippodrome and China Town.   London's West End (Up West), but there's no one out on the drink yet - just a few hundred tourists standing around looking at each other, not sure what to do.

7.30 p.m. Reach Covent Garden and Drury Lane on foot.   Hang around for twenty minutes watching street and mime artists do their stuff.

7.50 p.m. Return to Kings Cross.

8.30 p.m. Get last train of the day north to Durham.

11.35 p.m. Arrive absolutely knackered at Durham - missed last orders, but I'm broke, so it doesn't matter.

Major omissions included Albert Hall, Greenwich and a cruise on the Thames.   These would have been achievable had the walk through Hyde Park not been done and Trafalgar Square had only been visited once.   However, what was done was in itself, let's put it another way, a lot of ground was covered.
