Beefy's mad dash around London - all in a day

Is it possible to do London in a day?   That was the Challenge for Beefy and Poll, your favourite travelling toys.   Let's see how well they did.

5.02 a.m. Leave Durham (Cathedral shown), 300 miles from London.

8.05 a.m. Kings Cross and straight to Underground.

8.30 a.m. Arrive at Embankment, cross River Thames and head for London Eye (next to County Hall).   A giant hammer on a construction site nearby drives them nuts.

9.15 a.m. Get on London Eye after only 20 minutes of queuing.   They didn't even have to pre-book - secret is to get there up to half an hour before the ticket office opens.   You get your ticket on the day and go straight on.

9.45 a.m. Cross Westminster Bridge for the Houses of Parliament.   Home of British democracy, where more people don't vote than those who vote for the biggest party.   Who says the British aren't interested in politics.

9.55 a.m. Westminster Abbey - not the normal tourist angle.

10.15 a.m. Downing Street and the Cenotaph, via Winston Churchill's statue.
