Beefy's mad dash around London - all in a day (continued)

11.40 a.m. Hyde Park Corner and Duke of Wellington Statue. Still less than half way to marble arch.

12.30 p.m. Reach Marble Arch via Hyde Park (miss the Serpentine), eat at a very cheap pup with proper beer. Such things are rare in London.

1.30 p.m. Get on a double decker bus and go along Oxford Street, past 'Her Majesty's Theatre', where 'Phantom of the Opera' was on, via Piccadilly Circus to Trafalgar Square again. Sign petition to bring Saddam Hussein to trial, then paddle in the fountain at Trafalgar Square, along with several hundred other tourists.

2.30 p.m. Leave Trafalgar Square and head for London Bridge. Queue for London Dungeon in a very big queue.
4.15 p.m. After an hour and a quarter, finally get into London Dungeon. Worth the effort and absolutely brilliant, but it's so hot inside that it's a relief to get out. Just as well it is warm, as both toys get soaked at the 'Traitor's Gate' exhibit.

5.30 p.m. Walk to Tower Bridge past HMS Belfast and a strange leany-over building that turns out to be the new London Mayor's offices.
