Joanna's parents came out for the Thanksgiving holiday, which we celebrated with new friends Lauren Moody and Jennifer Eolin & Seth Brown.
Somehow, the entire meal came together without a hitch. Mom did the shopping with Tim on Tues and baked the pies and breads on Wed, so all I had to do was time everything out and do the sides on Thurs. Even with the bird not ready on time, it all came together without so much as a dried out potato.
Unfortunately, with all the preparations and Dad's camera dying, this is the only photo from their visit. But we did many more fun things: hiked in Runyon Canyon with Grace (quite the site, let me tell you), watched MU play KU at a bar in Santa Monica, and saw Lawrence of Arabia at the Egyptian Theatre. |

Like our visit with Joanna's parents in November, we had a fun-filled week with her grandparents in October. Saturday evening was spent at DanTana's and at Trader Vic's for drinks (which is no longer the kitchy place we love, unfortunately). Sunday was in Long Beach, where Grace was in a Bulldog Kissing Booth at their Howloween festival, and at the Disney Hall, where we saw the Portuguese folk singer Mariza. |

Monday, Joanna took a 1/2 day so that we could go to the Getty in Malibu, where Getty built a dream home that he never lived in just so he could have a place to keep all the antiquities that he collected. Gotta love it. |

On Wednesday, Joanna took another 1/2 day so that she could take Don and Mary Ellen to the Polo Lounge at the Beverly Hills Hotel for lunch, where they got to see Jon Lovitz after a round of golf and John Malkovich leaving the hotel and making a call on his cell phone. |

After driving by the Playboy Mansion and eating some Sprinkles cupcakes, we went by the Greystone Mansion and explored the property. |

Courtney came out for a little getaway after July 4th. The biggest escape we had all weekend was to the Getty Museum in LA (about 10 minutes from our home), where we took the archtecture tour and enjoyed the gardens. |
