THE JOURNEY OF A TWO TONE RUSTBUCKET
Below are some pics of our travels throughout the world. ALSO... CLICK  ON A REGION  ABOVE FOR THOSE PHOTOS
Just outside the beautiful lakeside resort town of Okeechobee Florida.  Friendliest people I ever did meet
I forget where this one's from.  These people stepped right
in my way as I snapped the shutter.  They almost ruined
   the whole picture.

Here we are with the Saint Louis arch in the
background.  What a beautiful day.  The
    view was spectacular.

Seattles' famous space needle.  Contrary to
popular belief, there aren't many grunge
rockers.  Just a bunch of fuzzy purple hats.

This is where my luggage will go one day,
assuming I ever buy some.  Right now I
just keep a bunch of Heineken bottles up
   front.

Here's an artists' rendering of me on
    my way to Silhouettes.
   There are now
people who think I'm an asshole
This is in Kiev, Ukraine, at the newly
  renovated Chernobyl mall.  Shopping
is by invitation only.  This valet didn't
want to let me in, but I bribed him with
  a bottle of Jack Daniels.
This is the mall.  It blows away any European
mall.  But in all fairness I must admit, their
food court sucks.
I'm guessing these guys probably work at
the Ukranian version of the Gap or Old
Navy or something.  I told them I thought
their uniforms were smokin hot, and that
they looked like Devo.  They just shook
their heads and walked away.  I don't think
they understood me.
This has to be my most prized photo.  It was taken on November 9, 1989, day one for the demise of the Berlin Wall.  As you can see, we are situated just outside the Brandenburg Gate.  It is pure luck that I found myself right in the middle of all the action.  Looking at this photo, I can still feel the energy in the air.
Here's my beetle from a totally different angle.  This was taken in Rovaniemi, Finland.  It was summertime, so the temperature was about +2.  The guesthouse owner was kind enough to let me use his garage.  He said that garage has some kind of historical significance.  Yeah..whatever...it does now fukko.
Bad Camberg, Germany, 1999.  Willie Lottermann holds the honorable distinction of founding the first Volkswagen dealership in the world.  Every four years he hosts a vintage gathering.  People come from all over the world to participate.  These people are just socializing before the main event, which was down the street.  They too are from the U.S.  I won't even say anything about that self worshipping magazine editor.
The view from Willies' ladder truck.  Who's that parked in the upper left corner?  I must explain, that's a bier and brats tent in the background. Now I think you understand.  Location is everything!
This was a world record turnout for hebmullers.  I think they had 29 or 27.  There are only about 49 left in the world.  They're pretty nice, but of course I'd blow their doors in.   See that church in the background?  It's pretty old.
A monster engine I had about 11 years ago.  It's fun in town, but not well suited for touring or cold climates.  Check out the size of those carbs!!  The last time I saw a hole that big, I was married to it.
