Our family has a legacy of Kingdom Service going back to the mid-eighteenth century. Christopher Columbus Guice was a Baptist pastor/elder living in Philadelphia at the time Benjamin Franklin printed the Philadelphia Confession.
Elizabeth's maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Emmett Joseph Moody served as cottage parents at the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home for many years, while Mr. Moody served as elder, deacon, and Southern Baptist church planter in Monroe, Louisiana.

Rev. and Mrs. Patrick Monroe Guice still faithfully serve Christ in Northeast Louisiana. Uncle Pat has planted several Southern Baptist churches in the Monroe/Bastrop area, and established the Kingdom school, Mt. Zion Christian Academy.
We believe God is calling us to continue this family heritage. Our family attends Cornerstone Baptist Church in Wylie, Texas. Cornerstone is a conservative Southern Baptist fellowship, associated with the Founders Ministries, and places strong emphasis on both evangelism and discipleship. Our pastor, Dr. Sam Tullock, is a treasure! Although he admits that over 75% of our church homeschools, we are not a "homeschooling church". Pastor Sam, a bi-vocational pastor, truly is Salt and Light, in his role as a professor of history at Collin County Community College. Actually, Pastor Sam is tri-vocational, as he is now writing the Explore the Bible Teacher Guides for LifeWay.
In addition to Pastor Sam's expository preaching, Dr. Dan Truitt's teaching on the Book of Luke in Sunday School, Elizabeth, Emily, and Elise are blessed by the spiritual leadership of Carl. Dad is leading us through a study of the Old Testament and the 23rd Psalm.
Our family has also been blessed by the ministries of Dr. Albert Mohler and Dr. John Piper.
