There are several English Setters
currently being trained and competing at various levels in New Zealand. In
particular there are Gay Bouterey with Delta (Ch Saxilby Southern Belle
CDX Silver TCQ), Jane McBride with Fanta (Saxilby Southern Skye), Gay Bouterey
with Angel (Ch Saxilby Seraphine CDX) and Don Ross with Monty
(Ch Mountshannon Wild Grouse at Ardross).
Obedience titles that can be achieved in New Zealand are:-
CDX (or CD) - Companion Dog Excellent (Bronze, Silver and Gold levels)

English Setters make wonderful companions and family dogs.
While they will never be the first choice of most people looking for a top obedience
competition dog, they constantly prove that with the right training,
they can be very successful at this as well.
