Gelveasar
Gelveasar is the language of the Gelvea, a long lived people who inhabit my Conworld. I have laid the language out in a fair amount of detail, and I now have most of it up. The version of Gelveasar currently given here is Classical High Gelveasar, version 4.2 (or so), 2005. It is decended from Ancient Gelveasar, 2.0, 2005, and akin to Classical Low Gelveasar, 1.0, 2005. Terms like "Ancient" and "Classical" denote a language's position in the internal history of my Conworld, and version numbers and dates give it's position in the history of my revision of it. The original language was Classical High Gelveasar, 1.0, 2002, then known simply as Veltaglwa (soon changed to Dheltaglwa, I'll call that version 1.1). Ancient Gelveasar dates back to about the same time, in references in the original wordlists to "Old Veltaglwa," but I made no attempt to actually create a true proto-language for Gelveasar with regularized sound changes until 2003 or 2004, with Old Dheltaglwa v. 1.0. Classical Low Gelveasar dates to about the same time I started working on the current revisions of Classical High and Ancient Gelveasar.

Classical High Gelveasar was spoken in the land of the Gelvea in the three millenia leading up to the great wars, during which time the Gelvea became somewhat of a world power. Some of the stories of my Conworld are set during this time, others are set about 20,000 years later. The Gelvea and other races from that world are long lived (about 900 years), so languages change rather slowly.
