Track 5: Song: "The River of Dreams" Artist: Billy Joel January 1994 was a time of major transitions in my life. In early January, I married a young woman I had met three years earlier, from the anti-war group. Then I went to church. A good friend had just joined the Denton Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, and he told me a few things about it in passing. I already knew the UUs did not require you to hold any particular belief, including belief in God. Plus, even though I�d been an atheist up to that point, I recently had found myself searching for�something. Some of the things my friend told me helped me realize these folk wanted people to think through their religion. Sounded good to me, so, just two weeks after getting married, I went to this church. I immediately felt I had come home.
