| In 2002, Eric performed in an original play, The Fabulous Imbecile, which had been written and directed by noted actor and director Michael Legge. Eric played Grant Powers, also known as, "the Fabulous Imbecile." The moment Eric walked through the door at the casting call the director thought, "I've found my Fabulous Imbecile." Eric recently stated that he had worked up to that role his entire life. Although Eric swore off the stage for good, he was lured back to the Medway Players in 2003 to play the part of Dubby the bodyguard in Hotel Faux Pas, a play by Sam Havens and directed once again by Michael Legge, whose acting talent is also on display as Roland the hotel manager. Eric did another play, entitled The Ghost Train, so he could finally be married!. Now that the play is over, his marriage is over! He planned on no more plays. And again, made statements like, "I'm all played out..." And, of course, in 2004 Eric was in another "one last play," playing John Wheeler in the msytery Night Watch. However, this time it was with the Sunset Players. "Honestly, I won't be doing another play!" Until the next one. |
