The Ghost Train, has everything, a dark Maine train station, a tall tale about ghostly visitations, mystery and intrigue.
Everything gets off to an unpleasant start when a train "stalls" at the remote Maine train stop. The train's stopping is actually caused by the English fop, Teddy Deakin, who was played by Michael Legge. The passengers who fill the small train station are two married couples Richard and Elsie Winthrop, and Charles and Peggy Murdock, and an eccentric spinster, Miss Bourne, carrying a cage with her eccentric parrot! Then of course there's Teddy!
They all have to stay the night in the haunted station and are forced to discover the terrible secrets it really contains when some mysterious strangers come in the night.
Richard and Elsie Winthrop were played by Ed Sutherland and Demetra Orfanos, Charles and Peggy Murdock were played by Eric Bruno Borgman and Stacy Armstrong, and Miss Bourne by Lorna McKenzie.
The old Station Master, Saul Hodgkin, who likes to tell the tall tales and cause as much excitment as possible was played by long time thespian Ed Eck.
The rest of the cast was made up of the mysterious Julia, played by Tamika Morales, and Doctor Sterling, by John Shanahan, both of whom played in the Medway Player's show Hotel Faux Pas.
Steve Paulovich played Mr. Price and Charles Cormier of The Fabulous Imbecile fame, played Jackson. Stacy Armstrong was another returning member of The Medway Players after having played in Hotel Faux Pas and starring in Medway's production of The Philadelphia Story in 2001. She has starred or been featured in over a dozen plays and musicals over the years.
Michael Legge not only played in Hotel Faux Pas, but he directed it, and produced it and basically is the brains behind The Medway Players! He has written, directed and produced three plays as well as writing, acting and directing his own movies for his Sideshow Cinema. |
