I
am twenty years old from Munroe Falls, Ohio. I attend the University
of North Carolina at Pembroke and I am a junior majoring in middle school
education. I have a thirteen year old sister who is very active in
her school sports in high school. I play softball for the university
which is a very enjoying but time consuming activity. That is the
major reason I decided to attend this college. I will graduate next
spring and hopefully begin teaching either middle school Social Studies
or English. I also enjoy activities such as exercising, reading,
traveling, and just talking with friends. I do not plan to reside
in Ohio as an adult mostly because of the cold weather!! In addition to
teaching, I also want to coach a high school softball team because I really
love the game and I also work well with children. My favorite food
is bagels and my favorite beverage is diet coke. The best class I have
ever taken at UNCP was probably an Art History class my sophomore year
of school. This class exemplifies the power a teacher has to really
influence and make a difference in a students learning experience.
My teacher was fascinating and I always enjoyed attending that class.
I am presently looking forward to a successful spring semester academically
and athletically. Graduating college will be a great accomplishment
for me and hopefully this goal will soon be reached.
