In an effort to improve my own skills and facilitate discussion of strategy in general, I'm collecting a handful of games I've played for detailed analysis. Ideally, my featured games will be close, reasonably well-played games by both sides, not blank bingo fests or self-stroking "flashy play" showcases. They will also preferably be culled from tournament situations in which a prize finish was at stake, for added drama/complications, although the bulk of my Scrabble play comes from non-competitive practice games. Mistakes made at crucial positions are often very instructive for players of all levels, so there's a wealth of info to be gained from looking at my games (grin).
The board images were generated via Terry Hollington's Scrabble Board Generator. After opponent's move is displayed, my rack will appear next to my name and score, and after my move is displayed, any letters in that area indicate my leave. I recommend looking at my rack and considering what you might play before clicking "Next."
With all of this in mind, if you enjoy leafing through these games and find yourself facing me in an upcoming tournament, consider recording your own racks. I always record mine. If the game turns out to be a doozy, it would be great to showcase both sides of play rather than just mine.
Please note that several games are in the process of being assembled, and may lead to 404 errors just as they're getting interesting. Sorry.
Enjoy the games.
