Japan 9 Days 9 Nights Tour 2002 - Day 2

6.30 woke up, had our breakfast and met with the rest of the tours, then we took the bus to Universal Studio Japan. On the way, our local guide introduced himself as Pete. He's originaly from Thailand, so he speaks both English & Japanese.

We took a couple of photos in the entrance of Universal Studio before entering the ET ride.

Ride Rating

Ride : ET Adventure
Discription : First of all rides we took, pretty good one. You ride on a bicycle with ET in the basket along with other 7 persons. Well build roller-coaster like ride, you "escape" from the police to the city and then to ET's home before leaving him there.
Cons : Nothing much, just not the best of all.
Rating : 4/5

Ride : Terminator 2
Discription : Yeah, a simulator attraction of one of favourite movies of all time. We were given an introduction by an actress, which was very lively and funny (laughed blindly, coz they spoke in Japanese). Then we were given a special glasses each. Great simulation, & quite a long one.
Cons : The language!!!! It's in Japanese, couldn't understand a single sh!t.
Rating : 5/5

Ride : Back To The Future
Discription : Yet, another great simulation. But this time, we were put in a "car" instead of a theater. A very exciting ride, the car really moves very very fast. Almost roller-coaster standard. We were driven into the city & underground, yes underground coz we were supposed to "chase" this villian who stole one of the professor's "car".
Cons : Not much related to the original storyline, & again it's in Japanese.
Rating : 5/5

Show : -(forgotten what it was called)
Discription : This time we can sit back and relax while enjoying a great show which was performed by well-trained actors/actress. It's about a man saving a woman from the pirates, cool! They acted pretty well, both the good & the bad guys.
Cons : Nothing, except for the language, duh.
Rating : 4/5

Ride : Jaws
Discription : Before lunch, we managed to take another "boat ride", yeah a normal boat ride until you found a sinked boat, uh oh. Then the shark (man-made model, DUH) appeared from the river (haha), ESCAPE!!! Before the thing ends, the actress which was supposed to bring us around shot down the shark with her shotgun, yeah! Holy shit, there are sharks in rivers?
Cons : None
Rating : 4/5

Ride : Snoopy's coaster
Discription : A indoor roller coaster which was built for kids (you realized that when you realized it's a short ride), quite fast & exciting.
Cons : But too short.
Rating : 2/5

We managed to catch the parade. The parade consists of famous charaters like Marilyn Monroe to cartoon charaters like the one in Sheirk. Entertaining, & was opened by a group of "traffic police", if you don't cheer for them they will "fine" you.

Show : Monsters "Rock 'N Roll" Show
Discription : Monsters, haha in Rock 'N Roll? Ha ha. REAL monsters playing rock 'n roll songs. From KISS's "I Want To Rock And Roll All Night" to Bon Jovi's "One Wild Night". Yeah, it's live rock show...
Cons : wihout drummers, bassist. Only a guitarist, a few vocalists & a few dancers who acted as monsters.
Rating : 4/5

4pm, we left Universal Studio for a shopping area in Osaka. Nothing much to shout about, just a larger & cleaner version of "Chi Ceong Kai". & guess what, YAMAHA music outlet doesn't sell any Yamaha guitars (except for one stupid digital electric). Anyway, there's a "100yen" shop which sells things that costs 100 yen, but after adding the 5% tax, we realized that it was supposed to be "105yen" shop. Who cares?

Bought some fruits, then we headed for Jusco Shopping Mall for our dinner. Damn this is the best dinner here in Japan. It's the Japanese Barbeque Buffet-style. Don't need me to expain more, right?
