He was an architect with SSOE, Inc. in the early 1970s when I started working there as an engineer. Obituary from the Toledo Blade newspaper: Born 1950, Rick was a loyal native Toledoan for his first 26 years. He attended St. Mark's Episcopal Church, was valedictorian of his class at Whitmer High School, graduated from the University of Michigan in 1974, and worked as an architect with Samborn, Skeketee, Otis & Evans from 1972-76. Rick relocated to San Francisco In 1976, where he enjoyed an intense and productive career as a health facility architect. He died in his home in Santa Rosa, CA, October 5, 1994. Services are being held in California and at St. Mark's Church, Toledo, October 26 at 11:30 a.m. His remains are to be placed with his family at Woodlawn Cemetery. Rick Is survived by Nancy Schraishuhn-Gilmore of Santa Rosa.

Clara Klauser Rohr age 99, a life long resident of Toledo, died Monday, December 17, in her home. For 56 years Mrs. Rohr was married to the late community leader John T. Rohr, former president and chairman of the Toledo Trust Company, and a member of the Federal Reserve Board of Cleveland. Her husband was a director of many of the area's leading companies such as Owens-Illinois, Owens Corning, Champion Spark Plug, Bostwick Braun, DeVilbiss, and Hind & Dauch Paper. She was the daughter of the late Arthur and Lydia Klauser, one of Toledo's early German-American families that settled here in the last century. Her father's company made Toledo's first bicycles, the Toledo Metal Wheel Company (later known as the Gendron Wheel Company). At the turn of the century, her uncle, Herman Klauser, and her father established the old East Side Bank. Her father also owned and operated for a time the Findlay Brewery Company, the Toledo-Port Clinton Electric Railway, and the Klauser Chemical Company and lnhalatorium. Mrs. Rohr is survived by her nephew Arthur E. Klauser of Washington, D.C. Friends may call from 9 AM to11: 30 AM Wednesday, December19, in the Bennett-Emmert Funeral Home, Secor Rd.
