| We are committed to being a sanctuary for the mind, body and soul. In the interest of providing a safe, stable enviroment, we ask that any attendees of events, classes or online groups keep in mind the following ethical considerations. |
1. Enduring Oak does not condone the use of paid memberships to glean funds from others for information about our group, members or Elders. Exploitation of fellow Pagans and other Pagan groups by extorting funds to provide gossip or rumors about other individuals or groups, positive or negative, will not be tolerated by Enduring Oak, it's Elders, members, students or guests of events or online groups. All information is freely provided unless an individual or group has signed a privacy statement. 2. Enduring Oak is managed completely on donated fees, work exchange, and barter. Many of the Elders and participants in E/O events earn their living by providing spiritual services. No person shall ask an exploitive amount for their services. Any person providing a service through Enduring Oak will negotiate such issues before services may be provided out of Enduring Oak. No person shall be turned away from the Enduring Oak due to lack of funds, neither shall an individual be asked to embarrass themselves by devulging their personal information such as income, sexual preference, emotional state, age, specific pathway unless the information is directly related to assistance asked for or Monastic Training. donations of time, materials or funds are freely given yet are not required; excluding the required work exchange for those engaging in formal Monastic training. 3. Enduring Oak does not condone the social use of illegal substances or public displays of drunkeness. Enduring Oak does not allow the exchange of prescription drugs, this is an illegal act and will not be tolerated. 4. Enduring Oak abhores the presence of firearms. There will be no non-ritual style weapons allowed on any individuals, except for immediate transport from a sales area or ritual circle to a vehicle or altar. All vendors will peacetye all sheathed items and will not sell to any person under the age of 18 or any person under the influence of alcohol or drugs. 5. Enduring Oak promotes a family atmosphere. We honor the Divine in even the tiniest soul. Inappropriate and/or illegal conduct, sexual, violent or otherwise will not be tolerated. 6. All those attending any event of Enduring Oak will respect the privacy of other attendees, member, students or Elders that wish to remain unkown to the mundane public. Any person who breaches another privacy will be immediately banned from further Enduring Oak events and their personal information will then be free to be provided to the indvidual or group they disrespected for legal action. 7. All pathways are considered valid that stay within the ethical boundaries of any of the following; the Wiccan Rede, the 13 Principles of Witchcraft, the principles of Druidism or the 9 traits of the Asatru. 8. Choosen paths that follow the guidelines set in number 7 of this code are to be respected. It is to be remembered that most dogmatic behavior is set out by humans and not the Divine. Any displays of blatent dogmatic behaviour or conduct that threatens the stability of Enduring Oak, Elders, members, students or guests will not be tolerated and will be reason for immediate removal. 9. All humans have been through trauma and have many issues both physical and mental they deal with and these are to be respected. However, we wish to protect the rights of all attending our community and will not tolerate the presence of those that choose to allow their mental or physical illnesses to become a discomfort for others based soley upon one's refusal to work toward a healthier self. Any mentally unstable behavior used as a manipulation tool that threatens the stability of Enduring Oak, Elders, members, students or guests will not be tolerated and willbe reason for immediate removal. 10. Enduring Oak is a community that aids and loves. However, we will not tolerate abuse of the kindness of those within our community. |
