How to Apply for a Loan

IN PERSON - OVER THE PHONE - FAX - MAIL

It’s easy to PREQUALIFY or apply for a home loan from EMERALD MORTGAGE COMPANY. Just call us to place your application over the phone or arrange a convenient time to meet with your loan officer; or complete and sign the HOME LOAN APPLICATION (SHORT FORM - download PDF) and authorization - then give it to your REALTOR to forward to us or send it to us directly. Once we have reviewed your application, we will ask you for additional paperwork to verify your income, debts and assets based on the type of loan you request.

 

Use the following LOAN APPLICANT CHECKLIST as a guide to organize your papers:

EMPLOYMENT & INCOME

Paystubs – two most recent
Last two year's tax returns and W-2's
SELF EMPLOYED/BUSINESS OWNERS – Last two year's business tax returns

CASH ACCOUNTS/SOURCE OF FUNDS

Statements (two most recent) for each:

  • checking
  • savings
  • mutual fund
  • stock
  • IRA
  • 401(k)
  • retirement account

DEBTS & OBLIGATIONS

Monthly payment and approximate balance for each of the following:

  • Car/truck loans and leases
  • Student loans
  • Credit cards
  • Credit union loans
  • Child support or alimony
