| Empire Park Community League is a member of Edmonton Federation of Community Leagues (EFCL). The EFCL is a non-profit volunteer organization that coordinates the 141 Community Leagues and 12 Area Councils within the City of Edmonton. It is recognized by the City as the primary representative for the community movement; the EFCL is the central contact for this large network of neighbourhood-based organizations. | Memberships are valid from September 1st of any given year through August 31st of the following year. Direct benefits to Empire Park members include: - free skating on community outdoor rinks - access to community league programs & minor sports in Edmonton - hall rental discount - various program fee reductions - up to 6 free public swims per month at Confederation Pool (11204 - 43 Ave, phone 496-1488) - low income program fee reductions, and an opportunity to work together with other community residents to improve the options available in our own neighbourhood. Membership rates: Family � $25.00; Single-parent family (only one adult in household) � $20.00; Senior (age 60 & over) � $5.00 Single � $15. NEW: Student rate $10.00 (Post secondary schooling) We strive to provide affordable programming that most families can take advantage of, but sometimes even what is considered "affordable" by some, is still beyond the reach of others. Empire Park is committed to removing financial barriers. Our own Low-Income Fee Reduction Program can help with registration fees for some programs we offer such as art, drama, or babysitting. We are also in the process of establishing a "volunteer incentive program" which would see credit earned for volunteer time donated. Credits can be applied towards costs of programs or membership in Empire Park.
