Marshall Mathers II - or Eminem's dad. Eminem's mother was married to Marshall II at the age of 17, and Marshall III was born shortly after. They had met in a band and 'fell in love'. However the marriage didn't last long and Marshall II soon walked out when Eminem was 6 months old.
He never tried to contact Eminem as a teenager, and the letters Eminem sent were simply mailed back - unopened. However, Marshall II wanted to contact Eminem as soon as he became famous and tried to do so through the media. He said ''Son, your mother has been feeding you a pack of lies. I dont want your money, I just want to hug you again''. However Eminem raps in the song ''My Name Is'':
