| D12 D12 are Eminem's main crew. The consist of: Eminem, Kon Artis, Proof, Swift, Kuniva & Bizzare. The six man Detroit crew met in '93/'94, at 'The Hiphop Shop.' This is where local emcees would hang, hoping to drop lines on the mic, on the saturday nights open mic sessions. Eminem was still unkown at this point, and looked to a local producer, Kon Artis, to produce some beats for his unknown Infinite album. Word about 'the lil white boy emcee' had got around to rapper proof. They met and both used the same obscure punch line. Most members of D12 had already established themselves in the hip-hop underground, and Bizzare had already released a solo EP, 'Attack of The Weirdos'. Swifty was one half of the BMG/Mecca Don records recording artist, Rabeez, while Proof released an indie single 'Searchin' b/w 'Anywhere' in 1995. For more on D12 please visit the 'D12' Page. |
